Where are your staples. I was also sleeved on the 9th. I don't have any staples except on the inside. I like optimum nutrition vanilla ice cream.

I didn't read your post until I just got home and while I was out I went to GNC and you are absolutely right. I got me some samples to try to see if I can find another protein shake. That young lady was so helpful!!!! These shakes are about it until I go to the Dr on 12/23 I will be 2 weeks out on that day so hopefully I will be able to start soft foods.

Wow you have to get staples out? I'm drinking a lot of skim milk because these protein shakes are disgusting. I will have to confess I ate a Reese miniature yesterday.

How are you doing today? My protein shakes taste totally different from pre surgery are you having that issue? I sure hope I can start eating some soft food after my surgeon visit on next Wednesday.

Not really. I sent the info to my primary Dr but that was it. How are you doing the drinking water and eating? How long are you waiting for both?

I'm not able to get even 1/2 that down. My 2 blood pressure medicines, xanax,cholesterol,wellbutrin, I gulped too much water and that was a mistake. I'm having a problem with wanting to eat and drink at the same time. My nose is also running for some weird reason too.

I still can't get the medicines down via crushed. How are you doing?

Hmmmm. I don't like crushing my rx but I'm going to try mixing it with pudding. That sounds like a great idea. a little bit of pain but try to start walking around the house. It helps.

I hate those hospital beds! Did you have to do a upper gi test to see if you had leakage? I dry heaved on the dye and the anthestia. My ribs are sore from that as well. Did you have a blood drain on you? OMG I thought I was going to die when the nurse was trying to get it out. She got blood on me her and all over and the floor! Have you been able to eat? I'm doing well with sipping on water but could only take 1 sip of the protein shake.

I got to come home at 11:30 am today!

Did you find your stomach area all black and blue?

They are not going to give me any water until I take a upper gi test and Dr sees the results

My surgery starts at 7:10 am

Surgery is on for tomorrow.

Well if my surgery gets cancelled because of A rash/bump on my neckline I don't think I can do another week of liquid only. I got a message that my white blood cell count is up and the nurse is going to check with my surgeon to see if she will still do my surgery on Wednesday! I'm going to flip out!!!!

This liquid diet is a real challenge. Anyone else feeling this way?

Did anyone have elevated white blood cells and not have any infection?

Sounds good! I'm in Missouri.

I meet with my surgeon on 12/1 to get my surgery date for December most likely to be 12/21. I'm super stoked to have my surgery. I have to be on a liquid only diet two weeks before surgery. If anyone is looking for a decent protein shake I have found Optimum Nutrition (vanilla ice cream ) I will post again when I get my surgery date confirmed.
