Loving <3 Me

HI my name is Kelly. I am from Stapleton, Alabama (Roll Tide!!). I heard about BariactricPal from a support group at the hospital where I am having my surgery. I decided that weight loss surgery is right for me on Oct. 15. A co-worker and great friend of mine suggested that we take out journey together for extra support. We both saw our surgeon on Oct. 19th. We told him that we are interested in having "sister surgeries" and that we wanted it done before the end of the year. It took us 10 days and about a hundred phone calls to get all of our appointments done. Psych eval, nutritionist, BEGIN Class and support group. Two weeks later, we got the call that our insurance (BCBS IL) approved us!!! Our surgery date is Dec. 17th. We will be having surgery the same day and recovering together.
Weight loss has always been a rollercoaster ride for me. I have always been overweight and trying everything I could. Now I am ready for a complete life change!! I am so excited to be on my journey to a better me!!
