Had VSG Nov 2015. Since 2017 my labs have come back high for Vitamin A & Copper. Ive discontinued my vitamins & had diet change to reduce the accumulation of the Copper & Vitamin A, but to no avail & they are continuing to increase. I don't know what to do & I'm very scared that I'm damaging my liver & brain. I am trying to determine if I need to see a Hepatologist or some other specialist. To date, my nutritionist, surgeon, & PCP don't know what to do. Has anyone else gone through this? Did you find resolution? Sent from my SM-G960U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

Hello. I'm post VSG as of 2015. 130 lbs down. My recent labs came back with High A, High Copper, and low Vit E. Has anyone had higher lab work then expected post VSG & what did you do to tweak it? My surgeon doesn't want me to back off on my vitamins, but I'm scared I'm going to ruin my liver. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm on City water, so I don't know. I will request their water quality report. The high vitamin levels was the last thing I expected to come up as an issue considering all the deficiencies I had before I had the surgery. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

I slept in bed, but with a ton of pillows keeping me reclined. It was a bit rough since I'm a stomach sleeper. The meds helped me sleep. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

I need advice....I get to start pureed foods this Friday...dun dun dun! So excited to taste something different. I went on a shopping spree.....never been so excited to be at a grocery store. I got some meat, and some eggs, and Beans. Doc told me to start with just 1 puree meal on day 1 to see how it goes. So whats easiest folks out of these items for my 1st meal : Pureed potato & beef in cream of mushroom Pureed Shrimp with a smidge of cilantro and lime Pureed Salmon with crab stuffing Pureed chicken with cooked spinach and a smidge of alfredo Pureed deviled egg Pureed refried beans with a smidge of enchikada sauce and cheese Pureed Turkey Chili Pureed italian pork with marinara and parmesean Pureed beef and broccoli (separate purees) Pureed Salmon with spinach and cream cheese

Anyone else come home for surgery with diarrhea?
Hydrogirl replied to HopeandAgony's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had issues stemming from whey, i made it through to a more nkrmal movement with greek yougurt smoothie and soy shakes. Oikos triple zero literally saved me cause the soy shakes are yucky. -

Questions for my fellow sleevers
Hydrogirl replied to blkndeckher's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Im a Ft Worth sleever with Dr Bagshahi. Im an active fat tribal/gypsy dancer! I dont binge either but I know that my appetetite is large and my metobolism is junk so I chose to move forward with my sleeve. Im 10 days post op and I do beleive my active status is why I am healing so swiftly and not feeling the fatigue. I dont think your lifting will suffer at all if you stick yo the protein requirements and add shakes in. -
