  1. I'm 15 days post op and have been dealing with pain at waist & lower back on right side. My surgeon says its normal, so I take Tylenol and use my heating pad.. It's getting better everyday and I'm sure it will disappear eventually. Hang in there, your not alone.

    Still no BM!

I had to take dulcolax tablets to finally have my first bm after surgery. For me it had been 7 days. I was taking the miralax that was recommended from my doctors office, drank apple & prune juice that was recommended by nurse ( sugar in juice made me sick) and I was really kinda freaked out about it all. Since that first bm, everything is moving fine on its own. Pain meds can slow things down too.. Keeping hydrated will help but sometimes you have to take laxitives to get things going.

    March sleevers

I was sleeved 3/28 and I feel I'm doing well. I'm moving through the stages a little faster than I should be, full liquids just don't satisfy me anymore so I've started experimenting with puréed and even some soft food. I've found that the only items I haven't tolerated well are warm/ hot foods ( heated soup has made me feel yucky but same soup at room temp was fine) Anybody else moving a little faster than they should?
  4. My goals are similar to everyone else's... Be able to fit comfortably at a booth, able to ride roller coasters again, lose the weight I need to in order to have abdominal hernia surgery and removal of excess belly apron. That's my biggest goal, I've had a hanging belly all my adult life & can't wait to get rid of it forever!!

    Hunger

I'm only 10 days post op and I'm hungry too. I've had smushies already with no problems even though I'm supposed to be on liquids only. I feel bad that I'm not following guidelines but I need food. I'm counting the calories and logging them but expected it to be more difficult to eat. What's wrong with me?

Surgery 3/23 and need a buddy!

Hi everyone, I was sleeved 3/28 and I feel I'm doing very well, maybe too well. I also have no problem drinking and have eaten smushies already with no problems. Hummus, low fat Vienna sausages and even saltine crackers after letting the pieces melt in my mouth. I'm counting the calories & logging them but it scares me a little that I'm able to eat so easily. It was supposed to be easier to lose weight after the sleeve. Am I alone with this issue?

    Sleep Apnea? :/

I had second part of sleep study done last night and I didn't do well with cpap mask... Only slept 5 hours & left feeling as though I failed some kind of test. I hope it doesn't affect my approval process. I have enough to stress over besides this. It all feels foreign and uncomfortable, anyone else have issues with the mask?
