Your lucky. They took me for my upper GI right after my surgery before I went to my room. And you are not I baby. It took me a week before I went back to work and then it was only part time. Some people recover soomer than others. Age, health and the surgery itself all play a part in how well you get back on your feet. Just take it easy and don't try and rush it. You could have some pain for weeks. My doctor said that eveyone is different and all surgerys are different. Do what feels good for you. Keep in touch and I hope all goes well. Jessiegirl

I think that going back to work on Monday is unrealistic . If you drive to work you will need to give yourself some time to recover. You may think that driving is easy and no big deal but it is. It took me about two weeks to return to the office and I only work part time. Check with your doctor and just remember slow and easy is the way to go. Good luck. Jessiegirl

Hi Lynnby, I lost about 11lbs at first but not much more the last few days. I have read that this is normal. My fill is on Feb 22. I had some chicken last night and got that full feeling for the first time and did not like it at all. I am having trouble getting all of my water in, how about you? Where do you live? Hi Newbie from Tx, I too am a newbir. I wil be having my lapband on Jan 16, 2008. I started down the lapband road in August 2007. I know what you mean. Part of me can't wait and the other part wounders what am I doing.
