Hang in there.

I agree. It’s been a few years for me and I still kick myself in the arse For not doing it soonerFor not doing it sooner

Well good. After scrolling through this post and seeing all of the of the hard work paying off, I felt like I should say something. I have been on the other side of the coin for some time so I feel like it’s nice to be appreciated for what you’ve accomplished.

Hate to sound like that guy but y’all look great. Keep up the hard work

I am in this boat now also. 2 years of drinking has taken its toll on me, my marriage among other things. TBH I didnt want to quit until last weekend. I think I hit rock bottom and said enough is enough. I found an audio book called The Alcohol Experiment and began listening to it. It is a 30 day stop drinking approach and I am on day 2. The narrator makes so much sense and walks you through what you are going to face on this 30 day journey. I hope in 30 days I am better

How do you flavor your water?
mark1733 replied to UsernameTaken's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
@@CHM I hear ya. I am right at a year out and this summer is really going to be the first summer because of a crazy complication. Loooooong story haha. Anyway, I have every flavor they make I am sure. Sometimes I get to where CL seems to sweet but I have never had a problem from it. I lived on the lemonade flavor for the first little bit but now I am all over the place. -

Is it bad that I drink Crystal Light packets 80% of the time and regular Water the other 20? -

Hang in there. Im 48 and 1 year post op and feel awesome. Wish I had done it 10 years ago -
Vanilla Almond crunch is my new fav

@@gina171 HAHAHA Yeah its actually kinda funny. I watch people drink for 45 minutes to an hour then i start my sippin. within 30 minutes Im buzzing and they are too so it works out. My tab is $10 and theirs is $60. Cheap date for sure
-
Im a year post op and I will say just be careful. A glass of wine goes a long way for me and thats coming from someone that used to drink 4 crown and cokes or 6-8 beers with ease. One full glass of wine now makes me buzzed.
-
Yeah Breezy it takes a while to find one that you can stand. I know after surgery I got to the point that I could not drink one no matter what. So I traded off to Water and crystal light. After a few weeks of feeling bad because I wasn't getting what I needed I stopped losing weight. Went back on them and started losing again within a few days. Now I dont mind them at all. Just have to trick your body on some of this stuff ya know

I have yet to find a powder I like. I still go with premier Protein from Sams. After seeing what Amber said I may mix up my own kind of powder and see what happens lol unjury may be next on the list too
-
@@mi75 I am going to try the powder soon. I have a case of Premier Protein to go through first. Like you I got sick of the shakes but over time I just pushed through it. Kinda like taking medicine. But I know there are alternatives that actually taste good and have the same results as what Ive been eating and drinking
-
Usually 20g of protein. 200 calories and 4 net carbs
-
Yeah they are actually. I end up with the chocolate chip every time. Just bought Peanut Butter and chocolate so I see how they taste

Serious Weight Lifters for Gaining Mass: What supplements are you using?
mark1733 replied to NewSetOfCurves's topic in Fitness & Exercise
@@NewSetOfCurves Wow, great information. I am just now starting my workouts that go beyond cardio. Seems like it took forever for me to get comfortable with having enough energy to do anything else. I am hoping that over the winter I can get this going. Thanks for the post -
I am sorry to hear that. I had a small leak 2 weeks after my WLS and was on home IVs for 2 months. No food or Water or anything for that matter by mouth for 2 months. I actually forgot how to swallow once I could have sips of water. It all worked out in the end and I am still happy i went through with this. I am almost down 120 now and still hoping for more. Hang in there, it will get better.

Wow, you look great. So much healthier and younger looking

That's actually what I want. I'm in Memphis which isn't huge like Atlanta or NYC but it's big enough. Give me space
