I think the premier Protein bars are the best ones I have tried. They taste good for a Protein Bar and are great when we travel and can't take the premier Protein drinks with us.

What is your favorite pureed food?
Jessi01 replied to IveGotThePower's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ricotta and cottage cheese mixture topped with spaghetti sauce and baked in a small ramekin for about 7-10 min was my favorite during puree stage. -
Any husband and wife sleeve teams out there? Topic: Time between surgeries. Discuss! :)

Me and my husband had surgery the same day (11/9/15). We had his parents stay with us for a half a week and then my mom the other half of the week. We definitely needed that extra help that first week. It has been great having surgery at the same time, because we are going through similar things at the same time and have a great support system in each other! Best of luck to you! Wow! The same day! That's fantastic! I wish we could do do that too but we don't have anybody that could help us out. Who had a more difficult recovery, you or hubby? My husband was a little slower to recover than me. I was able to get up and move around sooner than he was. As far as pain levels and eating, we were pretty similar. -

I also had dizziness about 3 months after surgery. My doctor took me off of bp meds and I have not had any problems since.

Anyone have their surgery when they had a cold?
Jessi01 replied to songsmith's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a cold the week of my surgery. I was horribly stuffed up, had a terrible cough, was achy all over, the whole works. I called my surgeon and he told me that as long as I did not have a fever, the surgery would continue as planned. He also told me I could take Tylenol Cold meds up until the day before surgery. I was sick all the way up until surgery, but my cough was subsiding. I never had a fever, so it went on as planned. The worst part was after surgery when I still had a little cough and it hurt my stomach so bad when I did. -
I'm in the puree stage now and have been doing a lot of experimenting with the foods I'm allowed to eat so that I don't get bored. I bought 2 ounce ramekins from amazon.com and use them every day. One of my favorite things to do is put cottage cheese on the bottom of a small ramekin, top with a couple teaspoons of spaghetti sauce and add a little parmesan on top. Throw that in the oven for about 10 minutes and it tastes like lasagna without noodles. Another thing that I like is to blenderize some chicken with gravy, put that at the bottom of a small ramekin, top with mashed potatoes and then add cheese on top. Throw that in the oven for a little bit and it's like a little shepherds pie.
