My name is Elaina C. and I'm excited to join the Bariatric Pal community.  I had my gastric sleeve surgery on Nov 4, 2015.  Like others, I thought long and hard before moving forward with my decision with WLS. I was tired of failed attempts at fad diets and wasting money on weight loss supplements that may or may not work for short periods of time.  In September 2015, I began the search for a WLS surgeon in my area and found a good match.  By mid October, I was approved my insurance and had my surgery scheduled.  It was all happening so fast.  To date, I have been very lucky with my surgery with no complications or uncomfortable side effects such as vomiting, excess nausea, etc.  I am currently looking forward to my 2 week post-op visit.  The full liquid diet is starting to get old and I look forward to the next phase of the bariatric diet :)
