I was sleeved on 6/30/16. I have lost around 28 lbs. when I went for my 1 month follow up, I mentioned I was frustrated that the loss was only 28 lbs. the doctor said I need to eat more Protein and get in 1500 calories a day. I can't eat that much. Does anybody have any suggestions? And my weight as of now is 320 lbs. any advice???? I am getting my protein range of 70-100 in. Thanks! Thanks for your responses. I am lucky if I can get in 800 calories a day as of now. I am happy with my weight loss, I just wasn't sure if it was to have been more or if that was normal since she said for me to up my Protein and calories. I know this is a learning process for me. I will try your suggestions and thanks everyone! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My surgery was 6/30 and I am 19 lbs down. Trying not to get discouraged either, but praying the weight loss will keep coming and trying to get all my Protein and fluids in. Went back to work yesterday. Good luck to you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I was told to use a heating pad on my stomach due to mine still hurting/sore for even clothes to touch them. And they itch something horrible. My Dr used glue.

I am getting so frustrated with my Dr's office. I had my last nutrition visit on 4/12. I emailed on Monday to see when my info would be submitted to ins. The reply I got was we can't do it same day due to PA taking 48 hrs to process the report. I understand that, wasn't expecting it done same day. She said they try to do it at the end of the week. I called Aetna today and they have not seen anything from the Dr. It has now been over a week. I emailed again and I feel like I'm pissing the person off but I just want to know when it's being submitted. Is this wrong of me? I know I'm not the only patient there . I just hope I haven't pissed her off so that she would hold me up on purpose. Thanks B_D. I'm glad you switched and got yours taking care of. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I called the office, to see if I was sent in for approval. I told her I had emailed her and she said yes I know, I am really busy and can't answer everybody. I was then told I was miss informed by the previous intake coordinator and I have one more visit in May which will be my 6th visit and then she can send to insurance. Yes the person I have been emailing is the intake coordinator. I guess I just don't understand why it's taking so long unless I made her mad and she has put me to the side. Out of the entire 6 months I have only emailed twice so it's not like I do it every week. Thanks for your reply. I will give them a call Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

So I am setting here waiting on my cardiologist to come in to see if he will do clearance for surgery. Nurse says he likes healthy approach. I so pray he clears me. I will be very dissapointed if he doesnt.

I got my cardio clearence!
-
Yes I can. Just didn't know how to go abut it since I have already started with this one. I even called Aetna and they never told me the stuff that the office said had to be done.
-
My surgeons office will not allow the 3 month process with Aetna because they said it was considered the fast track. Per the clinical bulletin it was not called that. Very dissapointed but what can I do about it.

360+ pounds?!? help!
tbella67 replied to allyrenee's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I went for first intake appointment on 12/17 and asked the pa which procedure was best for me and she said the surgeon is 100% for the sleeve due to being less invasive and less complications. I am at 350 lbs right now. -

Will aspirin and reflux stop my journey?
tbella67 posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have my first initial intake appointment 12/17/15. I have read that if you are on aspirin therapy (I have 2 small holes in heart) that you can't have bypass. Then if you have reflux, the sleeve could make it worse. I know I have to talk to doctor and see what he says, but am I doomed in not being able to have surgery due to these issues? Anyone have bypass and on aspirin therapy? Any insight you have would be greatly appreciated! -
