Hi all... I'm seriously thinking about getting banded within the next 4 months. My insurance does not cover it, so I will be paying for it myself. Going to Mexico is not an option for me. I'd like to know if anyone has gone to Dr.James Atkinson (I went to his seminar in October) or any other doctor's in or around Las Vegas or Henderson areas. Also who you would recommend and why... I'm 36, 5'2", 265lbs... Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello there Losers!!! LOL Sorry I cannot make it to this luncheon... I'm still working overnights this week... Hopefully I can make it to January! I would love to come, but am still in limbo here at The Venetian... I won't know what position I'll have until Friday and then I have no idea how long training will be nor do I know when I receive my schedule!!! Ay-Yay-Yay!!! Such drama I tell ya... :smile2: I miss you guys and hope to see you for our get-together... I'm down 50lbs and feeling so much better now. I have to admit that I have been very bad and have not been working out. I will get back into it once my life is settled again. XOXOXO

Hi All... so sorry I didn't make our fabulously wonderful get-together. I hope you understand that I was just not up to it yesterday. We did have a nice evening at the park with the kids and we're going to do a lot of cutting back at least until we're both settled in our new jobs. I'll be in touch and I hope everyone is doing well. Don't take those pills... do you realize that if you cheat even the slightest little bit you will poop your pants? Every time you fart- you will have grease leakage from your butt! I'm not even CLOSE to kidding! I tried them when they first came out and I ate a burger b/c there was nothing else for me to have while at a party. I felt it coming on like the rolling from the thunder and bam! Grease EVERYWHERE!!! Just ask your doctor for a proper diet- forget those pills... ALSO- I lost 20lbs on them really quick- but gained back 30 in what felt like a week!

What a great get-together we had at Claim Jumper! We had some new faces and old friends come along... Thank you to Mary for organizing it!!! I feel like I've been losing extremly slow the past month- I'm down 43lbs and very happy with the loss so far... I know I need to work out every day and now that my gym at work is up and running again (It's been under construction and now we have all new equipment!) - I'm on the road to "recovery"! LOL

I think George said he would be there too- isn't he out of town right now though? I wonder if he's bringing his friend again this time too? You may want to add 2! I'll be there with bells on! :embaressed_smile: (and other things- don't worry, I haven't Lost THAT much weight!) LMAO :cursing:

Felicia- I envy your traveling habits! I use to be "on the go" all the time (before the kids) I'm so glad you've been having fun the past few weeks- you deserve it! :thumbdown: Tiffany- of course you can join us! It will be fabulous to have another friend come along with us... I really need this get together- I haven't lost any weight in a couple of weeks. I have no idea what's up? I think my meds are off now b/c I weigh so much less and my blood levels are so much better. UGH! I don't see the doctor until the end of September and I'm a bit stressed right now. I'm gonna go work out- maybe I'll feel better after that.

Do not take Biotin if you have any kind of Liver Disease... I have an enlarged liver and my doctor told me to stay away from it. There are plenty of foods that have Biotin in them like liver, mushrooms, legumes, carrots, cauliflower- you can look it up online... My doc advised me to drink a Protein shake during the day to get extra protein in- nothing will really stop the hair loss. It will stop on it's own after approx. 3 months. I've lost about 10% already and it's only been going on about 2 weeks. It's gross. I cut my hair kinda short and layered it and my friends (who only tell me the truth) said they can't tell at all. I won't color it either right now - just keep it healthy!

I just started losing my hair- unfortunately, I have an enlarged liver and cannot take Biotin. However- there are foods that have Biotin in them such as Liver, Bananas, Carrots, Mushrooms, Legumes and Cauliflower to name a few. You can also buy Biotin hair products. I called my doctor's office and she told me to be sure I'm getting my 60g of protein/daily and suggested more fruits/veggies in my diet as well. She said to maybe add a Protein drink too! I think I'm going to make Veggie/Legumes Soup and try to eat it every day! I also found this helpful website... Treating Hair Loss Naturally
