HW 254 SW 248 CW 233 GW 140 Ht. 5'5". I have been taken off all diabetes medication. I have also had the doses lowered on MS medications especially the steroids. I'm feeling better. Sticking to the eating plan (liquid/puree diet) I walk everyday and I try to stay positive. I live with junkfood junkies. But they can have that.. I'm glad I don't have to stick myself with a needle full of insulin that is victory enough. I do thank God and all the people who are supportive towards me on this journey. Losing is winning in so many areas. Thanks y'all. -

Thanks, I'm gonna save this one. On good days I hit 15000-18000 steps on slow days 6-8k the Fit bit has been a huge help. It keeps me honest. My husband got me the scale too after he saw I was sticking with it. (2years now). The YMCA has been good to me too. I'm going to put your post in my journal. Thank you it really means a lot to me. -

Awesome, I've been integrating my new eating style into my current one so I know what my habits are and what I like. I hear your tastes change after. I'm getting used to the schedule of Bariatric living. My family has been really helpful. My husband put a fridge in our room because the kids were drinking my shakes lil -
Will I be able to go back to work in 5 days?
charjsweet replied to BobbyD's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm going in on a Monday after working. Surgery at the hospital where I work. My boss is very supportive refuses to let me work the following weekend. I work Friday, Saturday Sunday nights. So I'll be off for almost 2 weeks. I'm glad you're taking the extra two days. You'll get to enjoy your family before you head back. You'll also get to set up your routine before adding students to the mix. -

That's how I feel. I never left her. Even if I didn't agree with some of her choices, I still stood by her as my friend. What works for her doesn't always work for me. But I wouldn't take away her chance at happiness or a new experience. -

Losing Family and Friends

I tried that for several weeks before I stopped pleading with her to give the real reason. She's lost weight before and she is also very health conscious. Unfortunately she is the type of person that would tear you apart before she would admit any wrong doing. Every time we have ever mended fences because of something she did it was because I'm forgiving and my mortality is always before me with my health issues. She counts on that. Then when I do she takes that opportunity to belittle someone else. She is angry with herself about a lot of things but her pride and narcissism says it's always going to be someone else's fault. It's been 30years of this. Her husband is a sweet guy and he relies on me to take some of the pressure off of him and his brother by reasoning with her. I just can't anymore. It's time for me to move on. If she wants a good friend she's got to be one too. We can't always be on the receiving end. I've never left her. She's left me. I just can't afford to fight for a one sided relationship. Going through my first surgery is scary enough. She'll come around when she needs something and I'll be here. But she will have missed the chance to be there for me too. -

I'm on month #6 with Dr. Clark's office. They answer all the questions I have which are many. I'm looking at January for my surgery date. I needed this. The 12 hour shifts and weight and chronic illnesses are making life hard. I'll be happy to work hard sans the pain and pills and shots... Thanks for posting.
