New sleevers how are you doing
FrancesJ replied to Joymarie333's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Like most of you I'm struggling with getting in enough water, I was sleeved on the 7th (2 days post op). However there's a protein product called pro-stat, I ordered mine on Amazon. A 1 oz medicine cap gives you 15 grams of protein. It's disgusting, I've tried both the vanilla & cherry so far. The upside is taking 4 medicine cup fulls gets you to your 60 grams of protein a day. The bottles are about $30 a each but worth the investment if you can tolerate the syrupy medicinal taste. -
Hi guys, I'm two weeks out from my surgery date (which I think will now be pushed back) My ekg & chest X-ray came back perfectly fine. However my blood work, specifically my cbc/white blood count came back 11.3 (slightly elevated) avg is about 10.8. This indicates some sort of infection and my pcp will not clear me unless I get rid of this mysterious infection. I say mysterious because my pcp has yet to uncover where or what is causing the infection. Have any of you experienced this? If so what was the outcome?

What was your "LaSt MeAl"?
FrancesJ replied to Terra B's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lobster is my favorite but also expensive. From the research I've done I don't think after surgery I'll be able to enjoy a whole tail. So I plan to have a lobster tail and some green veggies -
I'm scheduled for Dec 7th in NYC. Haven't been approved yet, I have my final clearance with my pcp this coming Monday. I have a cough I've been trying to get rid of because my surgeon said we can't move forward if I'm coughing the day of. This is a very long and tedious process but I know it will be worth it! I had h pylori, recently my stool test came back negative. I don't need anymore obstacles going forward. Good luck to everyone!
