  1. My surgeon gave me a surgery date before approval. It's being sent to insurance tomorrow. Crosses fingers!!! Hopefully I can keep this date.

    Post Op Budgetting

Hello everyone. My surgery is not scheduled until January 18, 2016. I'm a very budget/financially oriented person. I would like to know if anyone has been able to calculate their post op expenses. What's an average weekly expense about. Just curious.

So helpful... I guess the protein makes up for all the extra food you don't buy lol. The clothes shouldn't be so much. I have tons of them from when I was smaller. I guess I hoarded them lol. Thanks again!

    African American Hair (and loss)

Thank you for asking this questions. I can't find info on African American hair and WLS anywhere. I've been natural for almost two years have worked hard to grow my hair and I want to keep it lol.
  6. I am very excited about this new journey. I have dealt with obesity since a little girl. My weight has fluctuated throughout the years. I have been struggling with PCOS and I have been prediabetic since I got out of high school. I just turned 24 in October. This is the heaviest I have been in my entire life and I'm just sick of it. A few months ago, my primary care physician asked if I considered WLS. I said "absolutely not". I thought about the question and kept it to myself for a while. Few days later, my father asked the same thing... I said maybe it's a sign. Maybe I should look into this. That was 4 months ago. Yesterday, I scheduled my VSG surgery ???? I am beyond excited and glad I had a change of heart. I wish everyone the best of luck on their own journey and I will share my story with you all. ????
