This is all very surreal. After my procedure I remember being in the recovery room coming out of anesthesia in so much pain. I was trying to get the nurses attention. It was like torture haha. Eventually they brought me to my room. Everything is hazy after that. Everything but the stomach pains of course. The IV narcotic drugs put me out and really took the pain away. Walking was hard at first. I swore I was going to break something but you have to walk as much as possible after procedure. Helps pass the gas. It took me so long to pass gas out the back end! But it happened. GasX strips are a godsend. Have them on deck. Anyway. It's 510 AM. Can't sleep because I've been sleeping sooooo much. Good luck on your sleeve journeys ????

Hi I also have intense burning in small area on upper left. I was sleeved on 1/19. I haven't gone to dr yet , What did dr. they tell you? I did. They said it was acid reflux. Call your doctor.

I got sleever on 1/18. This is probably the third day that I've felt like a human being again. I feel great. No pain (acid reflux or gas). I'm ready for soft foods but have to wait a whole week ????????. That's ok. I'm not rushing anything. I just miss chewing haha. So far I've lost about 20 pounds from my HW and 13 from my SW. When I was in pain I was thinking "What have I gotten myself into". But now that that's passed I'm excited about my journey. This is only the beginning. Can't wait to get back into the gym! Does anyone feel like their days have gotten longer?! I'm back at work post op 3 weeks. Yesterday was a drag! Today I got to work at 11. I feel like I've been here for 4 hours!! I'm trying to be as productive as possible. But I think because I'm not munching all day the day is crawling! I'm not hungry for it however.

yes that's not the half of it. The chewing actually JUST started getting to me. I just want to chew even if it's a small amount. they have sugar free Gatorade. It's called G2. Not bad with a lot of ice. yeah I just started feeling normal myself. Good luck on your journey!

I became a connoisseur of cream soups post-op, once i was allowed to have strained cream soups. My favorites were cream of shrimp (Campbell's makes a condensed version you mix with milk) and Progresso's chicken cheese Enchilada. I don't know where you live, but if you have a Wegmans near by (it's a grocery store chain) they occasionally have Buffalo Chicken Chowder on their hot soup bar and it is the greatest thing God ever invented in the full liquids phase! those flavored weren't too hard on you?! I just tried tomato soup almost threw up. Could have been too much sugar in it.

Seems like the chocolate premier protein is the only full liquid I can tolerate right now. I tried the isopure for my clears in between. BLEH. Not having trouble keeping the other things down like water, jello, warm green tea. Gonna start cream soup later.

My surgery is scheduled for Monday. I can't think of anything but the surgery at this point. I can't pinpoint exactly what is making me anxious. It's just the entire thing!!! I'm excited too however. But I can't even work haha! I'm pretty sure many of you are experiencing the same thing or something similar. How are you dealing with it?

my sleeves brotha! Congrats. Yeah the walking made me feel better. So did the sleeping. Coughing is the worst! I'm still debating on swallowing what comes up or spitting it out. They have you on liquid pain reliever!? Gross. They gave me dilaudid in pill form which I'm sure gave me a horrible dream last night.

I'm a planner by nature so this is right up my alley. My surgery is on Monday so I'm filling my weekend with so many tasks. Thanks for the advice. Made me feel a bit better.

The other day. Like Thursday my insurance coordinator submitted my info to horizon and I was approved today. So exciting! My preop class is on Wednesday. Anyone else getting their sleeve done this month?? My surgery is January 18.

My doctor didn't put me on a pre op diet. He told me to start clear diet two days before procedure. This makes me nervous. ???? my procedure is 1/18/16. Has anyone had the same experience?
