So for the sleeve I think we are supposed to be at 4 oz a meal by now. My tummy tells me I'm finished eating at 2 oz of food a meal. Lol -

Hi guys! On Saturday morning I woke up with a charley horse. I massaged it out as best I could and moved on with my day. I have been in pain ever since the Charley Horse and now It hurts to even walk on it. The leg doesn't look to be swollen and the calf isnt warm to the touch (blood clot symptoms I've read about). Can anyone give me some insight to what this is? Is it just a Charley Horse and the pain will go away or it this more serious? I made an appt with my PCP for tomorrow at lunch to have an ultrasound done because I'm paranoid that its a clot. Help! -

Thanks! my main concern is that I'm getting on a plane on Friday night and if there is ANY chance I have a clot I want to treat it before I put myself in a bad situation! -

Hi Guys! Did any of you "treat" yourself after your surgery? I was blessed with a very very easy Post Op so far. I'm one month post op and almost 40lbs down! so I booked myself a little congratulatory trip to FL for 4 days. Just interested to see if anyone else was so proud of their decision to live a better life that they treated themselves to something fun! I leave for my trip in 10 days and I'm just so happy that I'm leaving almost 40lbs of myself at home!

Hey guys! IM SO EXCITED! my surgery date is 12/18 and I start my pre-op on 12/4. Its going to be an intense 2 weeks because I have (2) work Holiday Lunches and one Bowling potluck but I'm so pumped to start my journey that I'm going to put the blinders on and get the job done Anyways, if anyone is also having surgery 12/18 and wants to be friends, i would LOVE it! Thanks! -

For the record....I have a GREAT paying job and I am good at budgeting but if my insurance denied me, I would never be able to afford this with my mortgage, student loans, car payment, etc. Everyone's situation is different. Hope everything got worked out @@kdelrosso

Hospital is not going to submit to BCBSM until my Surgery Date?

Hi! So after reading about everyone's insurance struggles I called me Surgeon's office to find out if they submitted to my insurance company yet. They said that hospital will submit for authorization on the day of my surgery. Um what? LMAO what if I get denied? I shouldn't, my BMI was high enough that my insurance waived the 6 months weight loss plan and I completed the psych eval and med clearance pre reqs......but now I'm starting to freak out. My Surgery is on Friday. Has anyone else been told that this is what their hospital does? -

AHHH just got off the phone with my insurance (BCBSM PPO) and they consider Bariatric Surgery an outpatient surgery which does not require prior authorization. YAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYA I'm good to go on Friday!!!! -
Hi! My surgery is next Friday and I wanted to know what Vitamins everyone takes after? I heard Biotin to help with the hair loss but what else? Is there a great Multivitamin out there? Thanks!!

Hi! So I am on day 5 of my 14 day pre-op diet and I know the goal is to shrink my liver. I haven't cheated or anything, but I do want to know if anyone has ever gone through the Pre-op diet, didn't cheat, and still didn't get their surgery done due to their liver not shrinking enough? I know I should not be worried but I'm starting to freak out EVERYTHING lol.

I'm on the Event Committee at my work and just had to cater and setup all the food for our Holiday Party. I'm on my Pre-Op diet and didn't cheat yet! yayayayayaya but those cookies look so good! haha #BeStrong #FatKidProblems

Pre-Op Diet

I'm on day 5 and it sounds like we are on the same pre-op diet @@brittie90! For Soups I stick to strained chicken noodle (my surgeon's office said a pinch of salt was fine) and strained french onion. are you allowed raw veggies? I have a tomato and cucumber salad for lunch everyday (my surgeon's office approved a little vinegar) and it at least gives some texture to my meals. Hang in there and good luck!!
