Ever feel its not worth it?

Hang in there. It does get better and you will look back on these days and feel it's been all worth it...well worth it. Stay in touch with the doctor if you feel this is something very unusual...but just give yourself more time. Rest, relax and watch the weight melt away. It really gets much better. It's a process and one worth going thru.

    Banding sched for 7/11/08

don't worry...you'll do fine and even wish you did this sooner. You'll take it off and keep it off. The band is a powerful tool and you can do the rest. I am so glad I got banded...it's been the best thing. Wishing you the best. Patty

    waking up after surgery

I was banded on 1/8/08. Love my doc and left same day...no problems. Day two and forward were rough. Gas pains, pain with drinking (anything)...awful. Dry heaves, vomiting, etc. Was back in hospital next day for rehydration. Today, still taking it one step at a time but am getting there. Get on gasX for trapped gas and ask for suppositories of anti neasua meds and constipation med if needed. Once I was able to release some gas it helped. I would still do it again, but I would recommend that you plan to be on the mend for at least one to two weeks. Walking and mild exercise are important too. It helps with you body and mind. Good luck to all.
  6. I used Dr. Bertha...banded on 1/8/08. Love that group. I am having lots of problems post op ... dry heaving, vomiting, dehydration. Spent the day at the hospital get rehydrated. Did you have any reaction to the anesthesia? Dr. Bertha was at the hospital, couldn't have been nicer. All tests show that the device is in place. Just can't wait for this to pass.

    Whew *warning TMI*

Has anyone had the dry heaves? Ugh...I haven't been able to pass gas either? Keeping me from feeling better. I am drinking but just not getting beyond the "Heaves." Could it be results of anesthesia? Only banded 48hrs ago?
