I actually don't know why I take Carafete then. I was prescribed it after surgery. I had a hiatal hernia repaired. Guess I'll be calling my dr again.
-
I'm supposed to take 1 teaspoon every 6 hours but have only been taking it in the morning and at night. Thanks for the heads up about that. I'm going to increase my dosage.

I take Carafete which I think is for acid. Have been taking that since day 1. I drink at least 64oz of water. Every time the hunger gets to be too much and it's not time to eat, I drink.

I'm not eating a chicken breast AND an omelet at the same sitting. The chicken is the size of the palm of my hand, which my NUT says is the correct portion size.

I can actually eat that much. I chew it very well and it takes me about 20 minutes but still get no signal that I've had enough. I don't feel satisfied. It's very strange.
-
I was like that too on liquids. I kept being told that I would eat less when I started solids but that hasn't happened. Going to call my dr on Monday. I'm pretty worried now.

I will. This doesn't feel right at all. Thanks.

I take Carafete twice a day but I think that's an anti ulcer medication not an antacid.
-
Yes, I could eat a whole chicken breast and a 3 egg omelet!! That's why I'm concerned! I'm drinking all my water and getting all my protein in too. I just don't understand it. I honestly feel like I never had the surgery apart from the growling stomach all the time.

No anti nausea medicine and I've started solid foods and still feel no restriction. I'm hungry all the time.

I've been on full liquids since being sleeved on 10/26. I haven't felt any restriction while drinking water and protein shakes. I'm always hungry and tried tomato soup tonight. I was able to eat a whole cup. Does this sound like a reasonable portion size or should I have had less? I was still hungry after I ate it.

Thanks for your responses. So, how much soup should I have? I kind of thought that the sleeve would let me know when I'd had enough! I've got a lot to learn. Do I have to set the amount myself? I start on soft foods tomorrow. My NUT says to start with one egg and 1/4 cup of cottage cheese or yogurt.
