How long did it take for your approval? My surgeons office said it could take up to four weeks but I've never seen anyone on BP that had to wait four weeks! I am waiting on approval now but I'm not sure when or if my paperwork has been submitted. I was just told it has been sent to the person who will be sending it to the insurance. Ugh.

You can call your insurance and ask for Case manager who should be able to tell you how long approval will take by the utilization department, or ask to speak with the utillization review department so you can get a better idea.. The insurance companies are most busy in the last 2-3 months and beginning of the New year.
