I'm feeling hopeful. I attended a information session which is required before meeting with a surgeon for a consultation. I was surprised at the number of people who were in attendance just a day before Thanksgiving but it let me know just how much we are all seeking out much needed help. I am now waiting on a phone call upon verification of my insurance to meet with the surgeon. I wishing you all much success in your journey. Happy Holidays!

@Djmohr Yes! We got to see what the rooms look like during his presentation via a slide show but I was impressed. The nurses there will all be nurses who are specialized in Bariatric Surgery as well. My husband works less than 10 minutes from there so it all works out. I am anticipating a call for my consultation appointment and dreaming of how skinny I'll be. @jane13 it sounds like it is a excellent hospital and the accommodations were probably the last thing on your mind after surgery. I'll want to run laps around the floors although I'm probably not going to be able to lol!

Diva, even more important than the skinny part. You will feel so much better health wise. I was shocked how fast my health changed. By my first follow up appointment, my diabetes was gone. By my one month follow up I was taken off all germ medications, high cholesterol medications and high blood pressure medications. At 6 months I no longer had sleep apnea. Oh, and my stage 3 kidney disease was in remission at 3 months out and I was no longer anemic! The skinny part was like the icing on the cake! Now, it's all about the skinny and the clothes for me. I am very close to being able to wear a size 10 jeans. I started at a 26!
