Has anyone's surgeon sent them home with a set of the leg compression cuffs to wear night? Mine did, but I don't know how long I have to use them. My BMI was low enough I didn't need to be put on blood thinners. Sent from my SM-G900R6 using the BariatricPal App

We have the same doctor. I could not remember how long I needed to wear them. I loved him. My sleeve was 3/10 Sent from my SM-G900R6 using the BariatricPal App -
Hi Everyone. I was wondering if anyone had to have another surgery the same year as their WLS? I was sleeved on 3/10/16 and have a torn meniscus in my left knee that will require surgery? Just wondering how long I will have to wait? Thank you.

Thank you for the information. I never thought about the narcotics slowing things down. I think I will wait.

Hi everyone. My sleeve is tomorrow morning and I am so nervous. I know this is going to be the best thing for me and my health. But I am so scared something will go wrong. Is this normal?

Could everyone please pray for me that everything goes well.

Hi everyone. I am just starting my journey and looking for a surgeon. I will have to be self-pay because my insurance excludes wls. Any suggestions for a surgeon. I live in KY but am willing to travel to TN, GA, NC, IL, OH.... I also want a surgeon that has insurance against complications. Thank you.

I had looked into Dr Heider. What type of leak test does he do? Dr weiss in Lexington does an endoscopy before and after surgery to check for leaks. -
Ryan, Do you mind me asking how much your surgery cost? Thanks

Has anyone used Dr. Nwanguma in Bowling Green, KY?
kim36517 replied to MissPam's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Thank you MissPam for the information. It is so hard to pick the best surgeon and I live in Glasgow so Bowling Green is super convenient for me. I am going to the Decemer seminar so I am really excited. Should have the funds to pay for surgery by February. -
Hi everyone. Newbie here. I know I will be self-pay because my insurance excludes WLS. Because of the self-pay, I am only looking at BLIS covered surgeons. I have read many posts that Dr. Weiss is excellent. Can anyone give me feedback on the self-pay cost? How long it takes to get a surgery date? I am also wondering if I have a hiatal hernia would they charge that to insurance and give me a discount to only pay for the sleeve portion of the surgery? Any information anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated. I am 5'3" weigh 278. I have hypertension, pre-diabetic, fatty liver and knee pain. So I really just want to get healthy. Thanks,
