    Where do you buy clothes?

I can't wait to get into the next size down....seems to take me forever! I too shop at Walmart and don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes at this point...I'm swimming in some of my tshirts but as long as they stay on ill keep wearing them! My issue with shirts is..why do they have necklines big enough to fit a dinosaurs head??!! Omg...my bra is always showing!! [emoji35]
  2. I'm just curious how far out post op that people still use a protein supplement to get in enough protein...I'm at 4 months out and haven't been able to reach goal yet without supplementing....The reason I'm asking is I'm planning on going to Costco which is 3 hrs away from home and trying to determine how many cases of Premiere protein shakes I should buy [emoji3]
  3. I like the taste of the Inspire protein powders but they just foam up too much for my liking...so I find the chocolate premade premier protein shakes the most pleasant for everyday use. I'm thinking the mug cakes sound good!

  6. I will give those a try [emoji2] Thanks!
  7. Protein bars don't sit well with me yet...I keep trying occasionally and it is getting better so hopefully! Thanks for the advice ... I haven't tried adding unflavored protein to foods yet. I guess I feel the amount you have to add is going to change the taste of my food...lol

    The First Six Months

Great job!! Hope you find that someone special [emoji7]
  9. Hey everyone! Today is exactly 4 months since my gastric bypass....I have lost exactly 50 lbs since surgery and 80 lbs total since I started this journey....I had a very rough month of April battling horrible diarrhea and then constipation! Finally for the past few weeks now I'm starting to feel somewhat back to normal [emoji3]....I have yet to start a regular exercise routine ...I know that's bad!! If only the weight would fall off as fast as my hair is lately! [emoji15][emoji37] Anyway..I would like to thank everyone for helping me along the way with any advice you have given to me...I find a lot of great information here...along with some humor and drama...makes for good entertainment at times...lol
  10. In the month of April I had more moments of "what the hell did I do?" Then not....I felt like it was never going to get better....but it has! I have a lot more energy now.....can eat more variety of foods and a bigger portion. I use to fear eating out because I was afraid of dumping. Now I have learned to order things that I am comfortable with and enjoy going out to eat with my hubby and friends occasionally [emoji3]

  14. I'm guessing it's because we can only absorb a certain amount at a time

    Maybe TMI?

I had horrible diarrhea at about 6 weeks post op...my Dr put me on a couple stomach medicines that worked well but then I got horrible constipation! She then suggested a Probiotic and that has done wonders for me [emoji3] ...Good luck!
  17. I'm almost 4 months post op gastric bypass...I'm hoping eventually I will be able to swallow the pills , but I'm not holding my breath because I had trouble with large pills before [emoji20]. Thank you [emoji2]

    Anxious! How long?

From the time of my first appointment until the day of my surgery was 4 months...started the process mid Oct. 2015 with surgery in Mid Feb. 2016 [emoji2]. My insurance required a 3 month diet and exercise plan and my surgeon wanted me to lose at least 20lbs before. It really did go by fast....I got my acceptance letter at the end of January and surgery was set up for mid Feb.
  21. You look amazing!! Congrats!!
