Hi Everyone, Just wondering your experiences on drinking. I started out with being able to drink very little, and as a result sipped constantly. However I am 3 weeks post surgery and I feel as though my drinking ability has increased. I now can drink more or less normally. I have not attempted to drink or (down) a beverage. But I have noticed that I am able to drink more. Wondering if anyone else has had the same experiences. I am hoping that this doesn't equate to stretching my new stomach. Trev

I was referring to water. I drink protein shakes for breakfast and for lunch I have mushed chicken and usually soup for dinner. I just find drinking water fairly easy now...

What to expect after Gastric Sleeve?
mrrugby replied to JerseyJules's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi JerseyJules. Just wondering how things turned out for you. I read your intial story and it was like reading my own life history. I also did my own research and in the end opted for Gastric Sleeve. It has not been a regret so far. I am 3 weeks post surgery and down 47 lbs. I would love to know how you made out. Trevor -

My first "pureed" food
mrrugby replied to lahhleslie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah I am 16 days post op and tried purée this afternoon. I had some purée chicken breast with some siracchi for flavor. I managed about the equivalent of 2 table spoons of food and I was stuffed. In fact I felt full for about 5 hrs afterwards... -
I had a 15 hr flight 8 days post op. Was not an issue. The surgeon did have me taking self administered Heparin for 6 days after surgery to prevent clots. But that had nothing to do with flying.

Hi Everyone, I have started my Pre-Op Diet today. I am just curious if the Atkins shakes are acceptable for the Low Carb Protein shakes. I have also purchased chicken and beef broth to enjoy as well as sugar free Jello. Any other ideas please send along.. This is going to be a long 2 weeks. Trev

mrrugby posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have my surgery in 2 weeks in India and am just wondering if anyone else has gone to India for surgery? I have seen a lot of info about people traveling to Mexico and Costa Rica but haven't seen anyone post about India??
