I'm not single but I do find a lot of men approach me at costco post surgery. I also find men in produce department and meat department at the grocery store.I have been told I'm flirtatious without even trying. I do find myself putting a ring on my wedding finger to ward off attention. I make sure I don't talk to anyone at the gym. Because that's my regular hangout and I don't want any awkwardness. Today I tried a 14w Jeans and the sales lady said this will stretch you need to size down. I was at the big girl store and they don't carry a 12 in there. I think this was what I needed to get out of this funk I have been in for a while. It is my goal to be in 12 by the end of the year. Things are looking promising. This week I tried on a dress sized OX (from3-4X)and it fit. So I decided to splurge. I told myself I deserved it. I was so happy parading in my dress and heels at a party today. I wasn't wearing clothes to hide myself. I was happy and comfortable. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

One Year Post-RNY (Pics Included!)
o00 replied to Cervidae's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congrats!!! -
I tried on a XL dress and swim in it. No they didn't have L.Still have the fat girl mentality and reach out for labels with X in front of it. I can safely say that if its a stretchy fabric now I can wear L in tops comfortably. Earlier this week I got up to greet and hug a friend walking into the restaurant I was sitting in. She thought I was some crazy woman trying to get too close to her. We laughed till we cried. She had not seen me in a year. I'm not a fast loser. But I'm steady and staying focused. And NSVs give me extra motivation to stay focused.

Last night at a family party, I was getting embarrassed by all the compliments I was receiving from my relatives and family friends. I am glad my hard work and good utilization of my sleeve is showing. It's very encouraging to get some extra loving from your clan.

o00 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm proud of the new me because not only am I rocking a new healthier sexier body but my attitude has changed so much. I walk proudly and confidently into a room not feeling embarrassed about myself. I make eye contact with people and smile because I know they are looking at me and not judging me for my size. -
What Is the Most Surprising Benefit of Weight Loss Surgery?

Hi Dub, changing my job after WLS is one of the best changes I made because now I am able to have a more balanced lifestyle. -
How Often Do You Weigh Yourself?
o00 replied to psvzum's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weigh almost every morning. The numbers on scale does not dictate my success it's merely a habit now. At almost eight months out I know better to not take stalls negatively. -
Congratulations!!!

I did a stockpile of protein shakes, broth, sugar free puddings and jellos. Turned out after surgery my tastebud and smell changed and I couldn't even look at these without getting nauseated.

I went to buy donuts for my staff but I guess everyone beat me to it. The case had a few left. Never was a fan of donuts and I too seem to have lost interest in food since surgery. I can see all kinds of food and not get tempted. It's weird because I used to always be on the see food diet prior to WLS.

I found a pair of designer jeans that I could fit into. So of course I bought it. I can't wait till the day when my wardrobe no longer consists labels starting X.

Yesterday, I was at a loved ones bridal shower and for the first time in a very long time I didn't dread the camera and it shows in my pics.

How Has WLS Changed Your Social Life?
o00 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My lifestyle has changed a lot when it comes to food and nutrition and fitness just like most of us here. My friends and family have mostly been the same. I am still very much part of the same social circle. I choose to put my health and wellness first now. I make sure I put my health and fitness goals first before I go out to socialize. I keep my outings short and alcohol free. My friends have come to terms with the new me and don't bother me about eating and drinking. I feel truly blessed and am grateful. -
Does anyone's goal weight still leave them "overweight" or "obese"?
o00 replied to provenzee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I want to look good and be healthy and strong. I'm not going by the BMI chart. I'm ok to be in the overweight category for BMI chart as long as it's muscle weight. -
Too little caloric intake causing stall?
o00 replied to Amylou's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is just my experience. I'm at 7.5 months post surgery and my NUT advised me to increase my caloric intake to 1200. I was around 800-1000/day and stalling regularly. I wasn't eating enough for someone who was spending a lot of calories on working out, hiking and walking. -
You know you lost weight when
o00 replied to Thomas CPA's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You have energy oozing out of you! I'm always wanting to be on the go! I can't stand to be stagnant. I don't hear myself making comments like "my knee hurts or I have plantar fasciitis" anymore. Because frankly nothing is hurting anymore and I can run up and down the stairs. Also hike and workout without dreading the aches and pains. -
No more bath sheets! Regular bath towels keeps it all covered just fine. It's good to know the inches are coming off even though I'm stalling.

He said he to wants to have kids down the road Everything was going so well...why oh why? I never wanted to have any. Now 7.5 months post surgery I can't even think about putting any weight back on I'm happy with my journey so far.

I already said goodbye last Saturday. It was very calm and peaceful. No need to further invest anymore time, effort, energy or emotions. No one should rob him of his right to be a father. Nor should I have to reproduce to keep a partner happy. Sucks but kids are non negotiable. We had a beautiful run. I have no regrets.

Months ago I had said on this thread that the reflection in the mirror wasn't who I was inside. This morning as I was changing out of tops because they were too big I actually looked in the mirror and liked what I saw. BLESSED and THANKFUL [emoji16][emoji120]????
