Hi, I dont know anything about herbalife, but if you are looking for really great vitamins and stuff, there is a company called american longevity, I think that it might even be called youngevity now. But anyways, they have vitamin and mineral and anti oxidant liquid vitamins that are amazing. I feel such a difference when I take them. My whole family takes them too. They were the ones who told me about them actually. I think that there is even a website for them like americanlongevity.net. But anyways, thats my input. Dont get sucked into a scam. You know they are just trying to get you under them to sell things when they are talking only about money and not even telling you about the product. Hope this helps.

would you end up fighting anyone? That reminds me of million dollar baby. Let me know how that work out goes.

I understand how you feel. I was banded in jan. with 100 lbs to loose. I have struggled the last 6 mo. and have only lost 12 lbs. I keep sabotaging myself, not on purpose but, I do. So lately I hae been trying to evaluate myself and trying to work on things I need to change, and I am just going to start with 1 thing a week. Work on that and then pick a new thing next week. So the new thing for this week is to not drink with my meals.( I know I know bad bandster)! But anways back to the point. I understand why you feel frustrated esp if you have been doing the right things. The band is and will always be a learning process. I hope this helps!:squareeye

Refound_Hope replied to shauntil6266's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
shauntil~ Hi! Welcome to LBT! You will love being on here. There is so much good info. The youngest age that I have seen is 20 but that doesnt mean the there arent younger people. I am 21 and had my surgery on jan.9th so I am still pretty new to everything. I hope that everything is going well with you or will go well with you. -
ok I seriously love this thread!! There are so many things that I want to do. Some of the main things on my list are... Shop at stores like American Eagle, Buckle, Gap, Anne Taylor, etc Go on the girls trips with my family and not shop by myself because I have to go to plus size stores. Not be the only bigger person in my family pics Be Skinnier than my husband Be one of the normal girls in the salon Finally wear a cute swimming suit for the family reunions and for the river in the summer Be able to wake skate and tell my brother in law "in your face"!!!! Finally have some self confidence!!! Well here are some of my dreams. I love alot of the stuff other people have said too! Great Thread!

Although I'm not actually ValhallaGirl, I am her husband. I saw this thread and felt that married women considering the band could benefit from hearing the viewpoints of another husband. My wife has been banded now for nearly two months. The months before the surgery were some of the most difficult of our marriage. I love my wife very much, and the thought of her undergoing an elective surgery terrified me. Chelsie has been heavier set for as long as I've known her. That fact has never been bad or good, it's just a fact of life. It's hard to say you love a woman but don't care too much for her body. I have always been attracted to her. Even from her 50 X 50 pixel thumbnail, anyone can tell she's beautiful. She never needed to lose weight to accomplish that. We had read a lot of documentation on the lap band; I would pick out the risks, and Chelsie seemed to only find the benefits. The more and more I read, the more and more concerned I became. I was convinced that the lap band surgery would be a horrible mistake. I could see myself holding my wife's hair back as she threw up from overeating or from eating food that wasn't on the recommended list. I could see her steadily becoming more and more lethargic as she was forced to live on a diet more suitable for a toddler. Chelsie was determined to go through with the surgery in spite of my protests. Her responses to my arguments went something to the tune of "My body, my choice." Now that the surgery is two months in the past, I've been pleasantly surprised by the results. None of my worst fears have been realized. Chelsie's doing better than I've ever seen her. The surgery was just the push she needed to turn over a new leaf. She's been doing everything possible to get in shape and stay healthy. The most important change I've noticed is the newfound happiness she feels as she has been regaining control over her body. For that fact alone I'm happy she chose to have the surgery.

I want in! I want in! Ok My Name is chelsie. I am 21 years old. I have been married for 2 years last november and have a wonderful and supportive husband. I am a cosmetologist in logan utah and I love my job. The only hard thing with it is that I am "over weight" and that is not the trend these days. hahahaha. I love my band and I have been banded since jan 9th and am loving it. I have lost about 12 lbs. I am learning slowly. So I am greatful for this challenge so I can really get my butt in gear and loose some more. I hope to be down about 50 lbs by june...family reunion pics ya know. I am the only bigger person in my family. My dads side of the family are typically more heavy set people and I got the gene from them. I was actually fairly skinny for most of my life until my junior year of highschool when my mom past away and then the emotional eating started. I ate healthy at home for the most part but when I went to school I would go out to wendys and get the soda pop and biggie size the meal. Then I started stopping on the way home from school too. So you can see the trend. I have been on tons of diets since then and have lost weight only to gain back what I had lost plus about 10 each time.:help: So now here I am at 238 trying to undo all of the damage. But now with the help of the lap band I feel like I can do it. It might be slow in coming but atleast its coming off. I have to say that I am so thankful for this board and the people on it. I have been kind of lurking lately. I go in spurts. But I love lbt and will continue to come and read and contribute more. Thanks to everyone...Good Luck with your weightloss!:clap2:

Fills in Salt Lake City...help please
Refound_Hope replied to Dody's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Dody! I just got banded last monday in slc by Dr. Darrin Hansen. He has been really great. I dont know if they will fill you if you had your surgery somewhere else but if you pm me I can give you the info. There is also another doctor in his office named Dr. Layton Alldredge and he might be able to do it also. They are both very good. Good Luck...let me know if I can help. -
One thing I did before surgery with tacos was I just bought some salad greens and put all the fixins on that. You can use ranch dressing or I would water down sour cream just so it poured a little easier and then top with salsa. Im drooling just thinking about it. Hope this helps.

Help with after-banding food options
Refound_Hope replied to gadgetlady's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
They one thing I have loved for protien is cottage cheese and dont forget a glass of milk. I have found a really great protien powder that I love that is called keto protien, it tastes really good and has no sugar in it. I think it is like 25 grams per scoop. -
I also think that if it were me I would choose a more experienced surgeon. Find people on the site here who have had the surgery in your area and see where they have gone and what surgeon they used. I would definitely look in to using a different surgeon.

I have really been liking yogurt and cottage cheese, also a chocolate carnation instant breakfast with a 1/2 banana in it. Also a great protien powder mixed with your favorite berry and some milk...I also find that those keep me full longer. I also really like the creamy soups too. So when did you have your surgery? I had mine last monday.
