I am considered a "low bmi" patient of a BMI just barely under 34. I am going the hiatal hernia route with the Nicholson clinic. I'm pretty stoked! I have to do the pre op testing, then I get to set a date for surgery..... so that being said.... If you went through the Nicholson clinic (Dallas-Fort area) and either did self pay, or the hiatal hernia route. How quickly were you able to get the testing/surgery date set for. The reason I ask is because I'm hoping for feburary. My son's birthday is in March and he is also on school break in march as well. If I have to push it back into March I'm worried about energy levels interfering. Tell me your story!

I'm doing about 800 most days. But some days it's closer to 1000. I can only eat about 2oz of grilled chicken, but soft stuff like fruits and lettuce I can eat alot of.... But I can drink a 24oz bottle of Water in less 30 minutes. And it also depends on the day. Some days I'm hungry all the time some days I'm not hungry at all. I think it has alot to do with me not drinking enough water or forgetting my acid preventative on those days.

My doc says the average loss in first 4 months is 35% of excess weight. Seems like you are about that! Wow really? 35% I've already way supassed that! By my 4 month mark (little over a week) I will have lost almost 50%!!! Yay! -
Hey yall! How are yall doing? We're slowly creeping up on our 4 months mark. What's everyone's losses look like? Hopefully were all past the rough parts now I finally broke into the 160s this morning and I'm stoked about that. This is my first "pregress" pic I think I've ever posted. My highest weight ever was 249 lbs about 5 years ago. I lost 85lbs (pre surgery) and maintained it until I quit smoking about 2 years ago. These are my stats SINCE my regain. Surgery was earlier this year in feb. HW 224 *tight* 16s (Jan 2016) SW 204 *tight* 14s (Feb 2016) CW 169 *comfy*12s (June 2016) GW 145 5'7 and 27 years old.

Hey yall. Happy 3 month surgiversary! My HW 224, surgery at 204, and now I'm at 173. I'm 33lbs from my goal weight! My losses have never been overly fast because I started with a lower BMI. I average about 2-3lbs per week. So I'm okay with that. how are yall doing?

I typically get 55-65 oz of water in, but today I've gotten in over 75oz and kept my food intake up! I feel like I've finally got the hang of this!
-
Wow. So your being encouraged to eat veggies and less protien! Hopefully it doesn't get worse.
-
@@vsgSarah3 my % lost and the amount till goal and what not didn't change when you updated my weight. Does it take a bit?
-
181lbs!

I hate the protien shakes. 1 cup of greek yogurt has 15g of protien. 4 oz of chicken has 25g of protien. Combat protien bars 20g of protien. Thats 60 grams right there
-
I completely missed this! I sure hope you're okay! Are you able to get in enough water now?

Met with my nutritionist today (7.5 weeks out) for anyone that is curious i thought id share. she said she's thrilled with my progress and that I'm right on track. On my high cardio days (I'm burning 300-600 just from cardio) to get my calorie count up to 900-1000 and on days I don't (weekends) to get close to 700-800. Otherwise she thinks my weight loss is perfect for my height. She said to stay in this calorie range during the losing phase, and that it really won't change much until after I hit goal and get to maintenance. So I'm okay to get comfortable in the 700-1000 calorie range for now. She also said that at almost 2 months and with my cardio I'm doing she would like to see me get in closer to 80-90g of protien. Right now I'm getting about 70g. And she LOVES the fact that I'm getting 90+% of my protien from chicken/yogurt/nuts etc. She also said she thinks I will be able to reach 160lbs easily. After that the weightloss will get harder. P.s. I'm currently doing about 1 hour of cardio per day (broken up into 3 segments) about 1/2 of it I'm running at a 6.5mph pace and the rest I'm walking at a 3.0-3.5mph pace on a 6% incline. This is everything I'll eat today except for dinner.

I stalled also. I didn't know if it was from the constipation issue but I have gone past both now. I discovered if I added a little more fat to my diet I became "regular" again. I went out for the first time last Wednesday with some friends and it was harder than I thought it would be. I love my Irish whiskey and beer, and not being able to have any for a while kinda kills me. I think this is what has helped me. My diet has more fat than ever before and I'm regular too
