I have UHC Illinois and had 6 month weigh ins and was approved 4 days after submission. Not too bad! Surgery May 3.

Where did you have your surgery? I am having mine at Des Peres with Dr. Scott --- sounds like his same plan...

Hi! My husband is now wanting to have the gastric bypass done as well. Does anyone know how long they suggest for partners to have the surgery apart?? Thanks!

Wowzers! Sometimes posts on here are like train wrecks... You can't help but read them, but then you are so down and sad. I am at the beginning of my weight loss journey. I see the surgeon, psych, and dietician on Wednesday --- I have an incredible husband who loves and adores me and is so pumped for this new adventure together. I have an incredible support group of family and friends. I just wanted to hear from some people who have/have had incredible journeys. Believe me, my husband and I work with people every day - I completely understand that people have difficulties and they do not always have a great support system. So, I am not putting anyone down - and I am not discounting the fact that I am at the beginning of my journey and there will be ups and downs and maybe even very difficult and trying times. However, if you have a great (amazing) story - I would LOVE to hear it! Thanks!

I begin Nov. 11 on my supervised diet for UHC insurance and I also have my Psych evaluation and meet with the surgeon. I am opting for the Bypass... This whole experience is very surreal and just to know that I will look as amazing on the outside as I feel on the inside is incredible! I know this 6 months will go fast and soon my time will be here and I will be READY!
