Hey hope all is well! The mental part of this is no joke. At least you recognized your issue and you can get back on track! The doctors orders are very important but we are only human. I went to see my doctors PA on Friday for my two week post-op visit and she asked if I started any purée food. I told her no.. b/c I wasn't given the go.. She laughed and said your by the book I see.. Lol. She advanced me to purée b/c I'm doing so well. My soft food class is on Tuesday. I'm curious if anyone recently got surgery with the insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois? I'm aware a couple of years ago they required a six month medical assisted diet. But, now they no longer require the diet. What do you'll think about this? Does anyone have BCBSIL, how did the process go for you?

I am scheduled for May 12th. I start my pre-op diet on April 28th. I am very happy but I'm nervous too. How is everyone coming along and feeling? Do you have to be on a pre-op diet? I have to do the Ketogenx diet with the Bariatric Advantage shakes, Soups, crisps, Protein bars etc.. I took pictures of a couple of items, I will need for my pre-op. I would talk to your doctors office about that and find out what they want. I have took Herbalife and loved it. But my doctors office does not want us on any herb type shakes for about a year post-op. And they want us to stop taking any herbal Vitamins 2 weeks before surgery. My surgery date is May 12th too.
