  1. Without sounding to cheesy or preachy remember the devil is in the details. On the surface the sleeve can seem idiot proof but we forget the little self sabotage devil living in all of us. We cannot forget that this didn't happen in a few weeks and we had no problem eating cheeseburger or fries or pizza to excess but we can find problems with a change that doesn't fit our needs at the time myself at the top of the heap. We just need to try one meal at a time and remember to flaw is human to forgive ourselves is Devine

  2. Ditto I get dizzy especially if I'm out in the heat too long. I live in hades hot tub New Orleans but I agree that bp has a lot to do with our problem if it happens when you go from sitting to standing it is called orthostatic hypotension which is fancy for rapid decrease in blood pressure if so just try to move slower and not just pop up like a jack in the box but ALWAYS check with your MD.

  3. Oh my gosh !!! I had such a great food day thanks and i'm happy to report i did not get on the scale today.

Brkfst; lunchable turkey/cheese only 14gm Protein

lunch; the end slice of wheat bread/peanut butter/sugar free grape jam

dinner; tuna the snack size 20gm of protein:0

yeah me!!!!!!!!!!!! Last but not least lots of fluids

thanks so much for all the suggestions i plan on trying all of them especially the deviled eggs yummy!!!

  4. thank you i will try the chicken, tuna salad i'm to start those things on monday i'm also trying not to weigh daily as it drives me crazy but like a bad accident i can't help but look. I'm going to look for the cheese today. Tried egg salad but was rough no crackers just smelly mush in my mouth. I don't want to sound like i'm whinning even though i am(lol) i guess just having a hard time with the adjustments mentally that cheeseburgers and fries are not an automatic default when having food woes. It like gas will pass!!!!!! I hope:)

  6. Congrats, she needs lots of support, fluids, a pillow for splinting the abdomen for the long car ride. Make sure pain meds are taken prior to leaving and you should be ok. This is a great sacrfice for the patient as well as the family so just remember whatever her reasons for surgery this is life changing and requires time to get use to for all involved. May god bless you guys and a smooth speedy recovery.

  8. my email is zenobia_moore@yahoo.com if you don't mind please email me with some meal ideas the dietician is just too vague. I'm a fart factory b/c I eat daily watermelon@ Breakfast, redbeans, 1/2 pc chicken breast, or salad @ lunch, usually meat chicken and ranch dressing for dinner I have lost very little. I am a snacker usually mixed nuts (lightly salted). My main lost was the first couple of weeks I count steps on the treadmill I do 2500 one night and 4000 the next. Fellow bandits I really need help, and advise about gas, Oh!!! I work in the OR so no patient's nostrils have been injured via my gas, they usually have other things to think of upon induction.LOL, LOL.

The real friend and family will always be there for you and the others ...well keep one or too around to watch them eat their hearts out as you improve yourself. I'm 5'2 my highest weight was 250!!!! pre-op I was 238 and now I bounce between 221-224 so far, but I'm sure I'll see a drop in weight soon, hang in there! Hey! Big D, or Little G. for you MD?
