As a former dancer, I began gaining weight at 20 when I developed PCOS. Through life's heartbreaks and personal losses, I gained approx 150 lbs. Although professional, well-educated, extensively traveled, and with lots of friends, my weight has held me back from love. Love of not only a man but also of myself. This year, I decided the end of the road had come for the weight holding me back in any way. My post-op journey just began. I look forward to gaining a new community of friends as I gain a whole new appreciation for life as a healthy and vivacious woman!
