Hi my name is Deb and I'm at the very beginning of this journey.  I am 63 yrs. old and have been "dieting" since I was about 13 (OMG, that's 50 years!! UGH). I am roughly 75 lbs. overweight and in the Morbidly Obese Catagory.   I have been to one seminar at the hospital given by a surgeon and also had my first appointment with this surgeon today.  Am contemplating the gastric sleeve as my choice of surgeries which I have been researching for several months.  My insurance does not cover this and I'm getting all the information about cost before I make my final decision, but am leaning towards it no matter what because I feel it is my last hope.  I think forums like this are essential to success because of all the information......positive and negative........to help make an informed decision.  Who better to give advice than the ones that have been through surgery?  I look forward to reading and posting throughout this jouney.
