Anyone in New Jersey Use Dr. Ewing
fatnomore65 replied to taramarie523's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Yes Catarina was my surgical coordinator. She was great as was everyone in the office. Marty the nutritionalist is also great. All I can say is I understand the nerves I postponed my surgery once because I was chicken. Looking back wish I would have done it years ago. Since my surgery 4 friend have had 2 with dr Ewing we are all doing great. Best advise is follow the dr orders they work. Good luck and let me know how it goes -

Anyone in New Jersey Use Dr. Ewing

I had my sleeve done by Dr Ewing 1 year ago. He and his practice are great. Have lost 140# so far only 15 to go. would highly recommend him to anyone that askes -
I am just a few days away from my 1 year anniversary. Still feel great. weight loss has slowed to a crawl but have lost 140 and only have another 12-15 to go so I can live with that. My question or issue of late I find myself hungry and snacking far more then I have. I am still making better choices of Snacks but some days I feel like I could eat all day. does this happen to many people and will it change back in time

I like almonds. Yogurt. Parmesan cheese chips. Low-fat string cheese. But I'm far my favorite is pickles almost no calories and a great crunch

Calories in versus calories burned

Thanks for the replies. Yes I spoke with my nutritionist who more or less said increase your water and activity. I drink a minimum of 64 and more like 96 ounces of water a day. I also taken at least 70 g and trying to go for 100 g of protein. I guess it's all part of the process and I would just keep at it -
Calories in versus calories burned
fatnomore65 posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
So I'm very confused I am six months in and of lost 108 pounds which is great. But the last six weeks weight-loss is been very slow. I know that I am certainly eating more than I was before but I am also working out and burning more calories. I don't take in more than 1000 cal in a day. And I'm eating very healthy. No fried food no bread no pasta no rice. On the average day I burn between 11 and 1500 cal and exercise. How could be that I'm not still losing weight. Am I not taking enough calories in and starting my body. Any help would be appreciated -

I use a product that I found and really like Musclegen Research GENEPRO Protein Powder it is 30 gram of protein and I put it my coffee every morning. no taste. dissolve better in hot liquid. use a fork to stir.

I am 6 month post op from VSG. I have lost 108 # and feel great. Been reading this forum for sometime but this is my 1st post. Has anyone tried Cello Whisps. The are 100 calorie parmesan cheese crips that are the best thing I have found to replace chips or crackers. I have not eaten any bread, Pasta, cracker since my surgery as this was always a trigger foods. I am wonder if anyone else has tried and what they think. It is 60 cal from fat and not sure if I should be concerned.
