Ok so tomorrow is the Big day!! Well 1 of many lol. I told my boss if I don't come back they put me in a white coat and locked me up lol. I'm not too worried about it now, the Hosp called and said I would talk to the Psych for 15-30 min then take a test 150 questions. Now that I kinda know what I will be doing I'm not worried, its the unknown that gets me Anyway haven't been on lately just trying to keep my bp down for PCP today and wanted to write and chat. So to all that read this have a great Monday and if your getting surgery today...YOU WILL DO GREAT!!

So today my hubby n I went to my initial consult 1st official visit!! So excited and ready to do this. I have to start taking my blood pressure meds again cause with them being prescribed n me not taking them it makes me look non compliant so to speak which isn't good. I have my 1st NUT class the 22nd of Dec and my Psyc eval earlier that same day. All in all it was a good day, they did say for me not to gain that I don't have to lose bit try n definitely not gain. Anyway, excited to get this started, 6 months n 6 classes left I think lol. Oh n I have to do a support group also.

@@Reason to Believe & @@eulette I should have mine in June also as I will be done in May!! It is so exciting and bervr racking at the same time. I have my Psych eval the 22nd and 1st Nut class same day. So exciting!????????

Well went to see the PCP today and my damn Bp was 141/105 and now I'm on Bp meds!! I hate this! I was taking diet pills cause I can't gain anymore weight or ins won'taapprove the surgery the surgeon said so I'm trying to make sure I don't gain. Noe I have no weight loss pills, no signed papers from PCP and I'm on Bp meds!! What a freaking day! I have fought my life to lose weight and seen my dad on Bp meds n I didn't wanna take them, that's the point of the surgery! Fighting to try n get healthy lose weight and now have to fight this to get a surgery to help my life, when does the fighting stop!! I won't give up!!!!! I want this and I have fought to live a halfassed life and I will fight to live a healthier life! I will fight! Anyway just talking about Bp meds and wondering about others on these meds with the surgery. I'm on Losartan 50mg a day.

I'm not a diabetic but Bp is a problem n has been for yes I have just been putting it off n trying to lose weight n exercise n I will lose a few then gain back more. I am 37 n weigh 313 as of today. I have kids n grandkids n a husband I want to be around for and enjoy the time I have left however long that may be. I want to actually live n quit being afraid of going places n doing things with my family, even eating out is embarrassing cause I am bigger. I want to show my kids not to be like me this way, its hard and could literally kill them.

I could I suppose, its just my PCP signing the paperwork not the surgeon. I still have 5 months of visits n all that jazz to do.

@condyw41, thank you. I forgot about the comorbidity so to speak. I knew it was on there just didn't know how it was supposed to be I guess. Guess I can have it its just gotta be under control. Well now I feel better n hopefully I won't gain wright especially after not taking weight loss pills anymore. That usually messes you up in general. Thank you all for the info, I appreciate it.

So glad to hear about the diabetic meds you got off of, that is GREAT NEWS!! And your doing great! 62lbs won't take you long. ????

@@MrsSugarbabe, PCP wants to see me again next Monday and check Bp and if its down he will sign the papers. Idk exactly what a week will tell him but I'm all for it if it helps get them signed. PCP said he would rather see me on these meds for a short time than having a stroke and being in the nursing home for the next 50yrs, that I must say I agree with. Thank you for your response also, I appreciate it.

Ok so, my husband loves me n how I am now but I wonder how it will be after surgery? I think about this a lot. I mean yes he's attracted to me n we are great now but is he gonna live me more or like me better if I'm smaller?!? If so, did that mean he didn't love me the real way to begin with or just something new? Just wondering...how did things change after weight loss n your husbands towards you? I think I will feel more attractive and be more outgoing I just wonder how the men in our lives handle the new us so to speak. And so its out there, my husband says he loves me the way I am and wants this for me as long as I want this, he is supporting me and that's what matters.

I am crazy happy he is supporting me n I am still pre-op also hell just actually getting started, I think ahead I worry prilly why I have so many headaches lol. I was just wondering and more fun with my husband would be great as I am 5-5 1/2 n 312 lbs not doing a lot here either moving wise. Well I jave a n app with PCP the 7th for him to fill out my paper work o recieved from the surgeon then got a call today have my sleep apnea consult the 18th! Then the Psych eval and 1st Nut class the 22nd. December seems like its going to be a busy month ☺ Can't wait, I was pretty nervous about the Psych eval however I think I was just over thinking n worrying like I usually do n shouldn't be. I'm not crazy I'm a woman lol I have feelings n emotions and some days there all over so as long as they understand that we will be fine. ???????? Ok well, just excited n chit chatting n hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Happy Monday!

Your doing great @@glitterpockets! I gained 5!!! I have till the 22nd to lose it well actually the 18th plus I need to get with it and not gain again! Congrats on only 1/2 a lb and good luck with the psyc eval, mine is the 22nd.

I am learning as I go and will continue to learn. The But classes will definitely help and I plan on keeping a journal as I go. As far as this being a tool, yes I know thatjust as exercise is a tool aand eating healthier and smaller portions. These are all tools not 1 will do very much good without the rest. Thank you for the concern and heads up about the Vitamins.

Hi all! I'm so glad this topic has taken off so much its new and exciting and hopefully we can all stay on track together and keep each other in the loop. I go the 22nd for my Psych eval and 1st NUT class. Waiting on the sleep test to be scheduled, I'm a bit impatient lol.
