Blender or nutribullet?
MimiBMe replied to provenzee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Definitely a prefernce thing. I have both a blender and a magic bullet. I bought the magic bullet before surgery and have not used it yet. I do use my blender for making my homemade soups easier to eat; and my shaker bottle for shakes. -

Awesome NSV..,,. ROCK on!!! -
See.... The start of this post IS drama. We are all adults. Take what you need from a post and skip over what you dont need. Answer a post or dont. This is not the place to try to "change" who people are or what they say or how they say it or mke them politically correct! If someone hurts your feelings on a message board, ignore it and move on-- no need to create a thread about it!

Decide not to have surgery?
MimiBMe replied to MarciaN's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You will no doubt lose the weight on your own. However, statistically only 5% of people who lose weight on their own are able to keep it off. With WLS, the odds are higher @ 50%. However, WLS is a major committment that lasts longer than most marriages somyou have to be sure. It is a major decision thst is worth additional time and consideration. Certainly take more than 24 hrs to think about it. The worst feeling would be to wake up in 6 mos with the weight regained and alot of regret to boot! -

You are not alone! It took me a long time also to post something. The good thing about this site is that whatever you are feeling-- someone else has felt. You never know whose life you will touch with encouragement and hope with your posts. Congratulations and keep up the hard work! -

Will I ever be able to eat Pizza again?
MimiBMe replied to ThickFit504's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The key seems to be moderation in eating what you crave. You might try it and decide it doesn't taste the same. Deny yourself and it is all you will think about. Your smaller stomach will also decide how much you can eat. Over eat and the consequences will show themselves. -

How long does it take you to eat? How long SHOULD it take? Water?
MimiBMe replied to nicblake's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My NUT gave these general rules: Take 30 or more minutes to eat each meal At meals, always eat protein items first Do not drink liquids at meals Wait at least 30-60 min after a meal to start drinking fluids Stop eating when you feel full (you will need to determine what "full" feels like for you Chew, chew, chew; you cannot over chew your food Good luck and continued success! -
