Be sure you drink plenty of Fluid with Metamucil. It's bulk forming and can cause bowel obstruction (in extreme cases). I might try half the usual dose. Remember, we only eat a fraction of what most adults do. Soluble Fiber (Benefiber) is a lot more forgiving in our situation. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

Post Op NSAID replacement?
dmedic72 replied to Cheryl Smith's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
NSAIDS thin the inner lining of your stomach as a systemic response. It doesn't have to do with how their taken. Topical gels, like Voltaren, however, don't have significant systemic absorption. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk -

Idk if this will help you, but I started taking turmeric. It has anti inflammatory properties. I take it twice a day, everyday. My joints and back have felt significant relief. -

I had body fat testing with my personal trainer today and he took a progress pic. I figured I would share. So, I'm at 8.47% body fat and 210lbs that's down from 17.23% and 266 lbs in July. My sleeve was on 10/15. I'm still trying hard to preserve and build muscle. I'm feeling great! Cheers!

Have they mentioned a rationale for pushing a vegetarian lifestyle? I've never heard of such a thing. Sent from my SM-T357T using Tapatalk

I've continued losing weight and my trainer is confident in making good progress. I'm making good gains in reps and weight. As long as I take in a minimum of 100 to 120 gms of Protein / day average, I feel good about it. I'm by no means a hard core gym rat. But, I do enough to keep up and build some extra muscle to help keep off the fat. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

I continued doing cardio after 2 weeks. My surgeon ok'd light workouts as long as I didn't do anything heavy and didn't create too much intraabdominal pressure. So, barbells and seated exercises mostly. My trainer was very good about that. I'm at 6 weeks and cleared to do anything that feels good. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

My surgeon suggested using Miralax at the pediatric dose (half dose) every other day along with added fiber. Works great. It works as a stool softener. There us just not much bulk to form stools like before. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk Btw, I'm 6 weeks post sleeve. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

Thank you. I owe a lot to my trainer and my nut both before and after surgery. I gave up 50lbs before surgery with their help and started building muscle and conditioning my body to be ready after surgery. It truly made a difference. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

What to do about extended release capsule medications?
dmedic72 replied to talking mountain's topic in The Lounge
I was able to swallow most of my pills right after surgery. I even swallowed metformin less than a week after surgery. -
