Hello everyone. Can't believe it has been 5 months. ..I have lost 77 pounds so far and doing well. Even going on my first date in years on Friday...feeling great so why not. My inner fat girl still creeps in every once and a while but I am getting very good at putting her back in her corner..so to speak!!! Still a long way to go but so far so good. Congrats to everyone for taking this step!!! -
I didn't have CVTS but had to wear compression socks and give myself injections for first 5 days...thought it would be bad but didn't hurt as was just fat. I think mine cost around £4800 in total...but took my mum over with me and paid her flight as well.

Can't do it now but will see if I can find anything out. He should be registered with a national association. Have you asked what his credentials are? Any credible surgeon will provide the details.

Not the same doctor...I didn't research mine at all other than Belgium Surgery Services (check there) but I was very impressed with my care...better than NHS...it is a competitive market so they need to do a good job. It will be fine. Gears and doubts creep in. Just believe this is the right thing for you and ask questions....mine was all done through email...didn't even meet surgeon until day of surgery.

I use PhD diet whey protein...you can order through Amazon or at a fitness shop. I am four months out and still have a protein shake every day. Haven't used any protein bars. As for liquid..puree stage...stuck to broth...yogurt...refried beans...I am now eating steak, chicken and turkey mince for protein...and lots of cheese. You will find what you can and can't tolerate. I didn't use anything for gas pains...just walked. Slept a lot first week. I hope all goes well!
