I take 2 Calcium 600 mg daily, 2 multi Vitamin Bariatric Advantage. I also get a monthly B 12 shot. That's it. I try to eat a lot of Protein. I don't count anymore. I have blood work every 6 months and the protein is always good. Mostly I eat protein first and then whatever. When I eat something not good for me the worst result is gas or diarrhea. No weight gain. I drink Water all day and swim for exercise.

Answer 1) There are numerous challenges that I have encountered as a lifetime dieter. Weightloss medications are very short term and can be expensive. Most diet plans ate expensive and extremely time consuming. Maintenance is always a challenge after weight loss and there is little support for maintenance. I have not been able to have surgery through my insurance because I am Class I obesity with no co-morbidities. Bariatric surgery in the U.S. is way too expensive for self pay.
Answer 2) All of the above! Better medications, easier qualification for insurance to cover bariatric surgery or other weightloss methods for ALL levels of obesity. Better surgery procedures with very ling term success rate like SADI-S. Support groups that are not limited by time or goals.
Answer 3) I spend over $8,000 per year on health clubs, fad diets and weightloss medications and supplements.

I read medical journal studies, have read books, talk to others who have obesity issues, of course commercials and membership based websites like Bariatric Pal and Real Self have been a great resource as well for information and support!

I definitely think it's worth taking the time to do the research and make an educated decision. If you just decided on MGB within the last few days, slow down and really find out what you are getting yourself into. Why are you revising from sleeve in the first place? When were you sleeved?

Has anyone ever used emedical financing to pay for their surgery? I have to pay a 500 dollar deposit to my surgeon to secure my surgery date ( I'm going to mexico) so I was trying to figure out all my options. Thanks!!
