@daniellenf- I hit a stall at like week 2/3 for a bit too. I know it is so annoying, but you will move, patience my friend! @@Amy Wolfe - Be careful with laxatives, they may irritate your stomach more than they help. Definitely more Water intake! I was told that is the number 1 most important thing, even before protein! So try to make sure your getting that water in! That will help, I would say I bunch! Good Luck! @@Paluma0268 - They told me benefiber and like metamucle, but I notice if I am not going I think of how much cheese I have eaten and then stop eating for a couple days and that seems to help. I would say you could also try flax or Psyllium Husks? So today was my 5.5 weeks post surgery, went to the doctor for check up; I am 198.4, Finally ONE-derland! I haven't seen below 200 in 4 plus years! I am pretty excited! Doc said 40 pound loss in such short amount of time for what I started at is HUGE! Hope everyone is fairing well! Keep posted! XOXO

I am so glad everyone is doing well! Just remember that when you eat, make healthy choices! High Protein foods is key, try to stay away from carbs and sugar! I hit a stall between 210-212 and that was at like 3weeks. it lasted a couple days and then i started to lose again. i know i have TOM getting ready to visit so I am retaining Water but today the scale read 204.2. look put ONEderland, here i come! cant wait to hear from more of you!

Hi everyone! It sound like mostly everyone is doing well and feeling well? I still am working on getting all my Water and Protein. I get to add mushy veggies, but I haven't yet. I am basically taking things at my own pace. I am not rushing anything. I want to make sure I am comfortable with all my liquids and protein. I don't eat much, I am still eating black Beans and eggs. I mix unflavored protein with broth and that is how I get most of my protein. I keep a bottle of water with me at all times to make sure I am drinking. I got a fitbit for Christmas and it may not be accurate as it is claimed; but it still keeps me accountable for movement and keeping track of water and food intake so I do like that. It may tell me I take more steps than I really do or my HR isn't right, but I can still keep track of the other stuff. I hope everyone has been doing well?! Keep me posted!

I know there is a stall period in the beginning so I wonder if when we start giving out body something more than liquid to digest it take a while to get back in to a routine so then we stall?
-
My doctor told us to worry more about Water and food intake in the beginning, as overweight people we still have plenty of fast and protein reserved. My protein intake is horrible too! We will get this all figured out eventually! Xoxo

We are all having similar things happen or do things we regret, at least we have somewhere to go to vent and know that others understand.

@@caressaxoxo A pound a day! It may not be exactly what you want, but hey, It's a start! I didn't think I was losing like I wanted either then TOM showed up and I realized that I was retaining Water and then weight just disappeared over night. Be patient! Use your tool, work the program- We got this. And yes, drinking more water will help! Had post op today! Mushy starts CHRISTMAS! YEAH. eggs and cottage chs here I come! Merry Christmas! Start Vitamins this weekend too. I am still not getting the Protein and water intake but I know it will get better. I just have to keep my head up and realize, this is LIFE- do my best! @Ginger1217 I don't work anymore, but when I did work in an office, it was always the worst food and crap everywhere. No wonder office workers are so overweight all we did was sit and eat. Protein shakes and water, then take mushies when your advanced! Good Luck, I know it must be hard! We are here for you! @@Amy Wolfe - I hear you on the broth! That's what I have been mixing unflavored protein with, I can't stomach Protein drinks, too sweet! YUCK! I made some bone marrow broth last night but haven't had any yet, I should go have some. I slacking today! No protein yet. It almost makes me gag to just think about it sometimes, lol. @@DaisyAmy - I commend you on going through all this and getting over cancer. Congrats on fighting and winning! I am so sorry you have/had to go through all of that! Life deals you a shady hand and you play it the best you can! Way to go! XOXO

I am so happy to meet you all. seems we all have very similar struggles. I have been very fortunate, i didn't have to sleep on my back, it never bothered me to sleep on my side. When I start my Vitamins I am sure it will be a struggle. I dont feel too hungry or thirsty. I have my post op tomorrow so I will find out when I start my mushy and vitamins, hopefully mushy soon! I hope everyone keeps in touch and posted on how things are going. We can make our own 12/14 sleevers thread! I may just do that and then we can keep each other informed, keep a look out and come on in open to all!
-
oh wow, thank you all so much for your replies and comments. I am so glad to have so many fellow sleeve birthdays along with me! my doctor doesn't have me starting any vitamins yet. They want you to get thru the first two weeks. Also they want me to worry more about water intake. They feel that we as over weight people we have plenty of portion and vitamins stored. That's nice, not to worry about all of it straight of the gate.

Sleeved on the 14th! Honestly, no big issues, no big pain! My biggest battle is getting Water and Protein intake! I was the one who kept telling myself, oh I won't have a problem getting my water intake, I drink 120oz daily. Yeah, right! I can barely consume 32oz right now. My protein intake is ridiculous! I am lucky to get 30-40 a day. I am not losing super fast either, but it didn't help that TOM came for his visit two days ago. I am wondering though, how long did you stay swollen? I still feel swollen in my mid area. Hope everyone is doing well and getting along great!
