I was banded in Jan 08 By Dr. Touliatos At Trinity ...I did great for the first few months. Then I got a fill that was TOO much and got sick, I had to have some take out, since then I have been SCARED to get another fill. I have not gained any weight until now, only like 2 pounds, but I am LOSING NONE to SLOW in the past 4 months. SInce that last fill that was taken out I have only lost 3 lbs. I am discouraged and I know I don't eat as well as I should, some days I only eat one meal and I make it bigger than it should be. I am going Monday for another fill....I wish us all luck, I want to be losing more than I am and get SO DISCOURAGED......

I am from Clanton. I think Oak Mtn would be the best place and easy access for most everyone. I would love to come. Keep my posted

I live in Central Alabama and was banded on January 3rd... So far the liquid diet is killing me....Mental most of it...I just want to chew something!!! I know that it is all mental...I am hanging in there and can't wait to lose weight and be more active in life. I am too young to sit on the side lines and just watch life going by. Can't wait to go thru this journey with everyone

That's funny.....I think at this point I might be tempted to swallow it. Chewing gum does good for a while. I CRAVE a taco salad.....and I don't even eat them that often, but goodness I am CRAVING one so bad....kinda wierd

Jason R, I also have BCBS of AL and it is Gov. also...I got approved...so hang in there. The psy evl it is nothing, they just want to make sure you are able to handle the changes and not go out and kill everyone

I have BCBS AL also...I just got banded on Jan 03, 2008. I had to have 7 months in a row of seeing a DR. for weight loss. If you want too long like a week between months, they make you start over with the 7 months diet again. My surgeon waived the psych eval, but BCBS required that I still have it done, along with 2 years worth of medical records. The surgeon told me BCBS didn't care if you lost weight, just that you tried, but if you are close to the cut off BMI for approval I would watch it. Hope this hopes

Hello Everyone, I am 33yr from Alabama...I got banded one week ago today...01-03-2008..... I am a police, fire and rescue dispatch shift supervisor I have one child...I can't wait to lose more weight and be more active with her.

Hang in there Eliane....I started my journey in March 2007 and finally got banded today was a week ago. Still having shoulder and neck pain....and the liquid diet pain. But I know it is ALL worth it in the end.

My Dr. and my mother both told me to use "Milk of Magnesia". I am 1 week post-op and the 2 days after I had "the problem". I took 2 doses and have not had a problem since then.
