Aussie girl sleeve Fri 28 August!
lfrit replied to smileygal's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Glad everyone is doing well. Four weeks down and all is going well. I've lost 12 kgs since day one of optifast. I agree, the first three days are the hardest...I had the worst headache. I too am finding it hard to get maximum protein and water intake although I feel like I am drinking all day! I am currently on purée but am moving to soft. I even had half a sausage yesterday! I'm starting to eat similar meals to the rest of the family...within reason and just a lot smaller. -

One week tomorrow...today I had wonton soup 'sans' wontons, a few spoons of custard and a mouthful of Greek yoghurt...and I fit into a pair of jeans I haven't worn since before Miss Five was born. Still not sure if I'm drinking enough, I may need to start keeping a food diary. Does anyone else do this? -

I'm home and have had a couple of 'up and go energize' drinks, soup, tea and water today. Still sore and very bruised but feeling pretty good otherwise. -

I'm feeling ok, pain is getting better but I'm still on Panadol. I haven't felt sick but am also on maxalon. Just finished a bowl of broth in about 1hr as well as walking around the ward. I'm having drinks called 'Ensure plus juice' which are quite nice. Does anyone know where I can buy them? -

Smileygal - way to go with the 14kgs but I think you should get your wound looked at, especially if you are worried. -

Roll call: 3 more sleeps to surgery. A bit more about me...I'm 44 and have struggled with weight all my life. My grade 1 school report said '... Has a tendency to put on weight' and so the roller coaster began. I work part time and am mum to Miss Eight and Miss Five. This is the start of my new life. -
An Aussie Foodie's Journey to a Smaller Ass

It is amazing the support all of us sleevers give each other For some the support they get on the forums is more than they get from friends and family - I am lucky, very very lucky. My husband is 100% behind me, and I am out of the closet to friends and family which is making socialising much easier. Less than a week for you - how are you feeling? I'm not doing too bad although I did try to eat Optifast Soup for the second time today...will not be trying a third! It repeated on me all day and made me feel quite sick. I'm on the down hill run to surgery. Bring it on. -
Could you add me to the FB page as well.

Yes all good now, headaches gone but my teeth are aching. Not sure what is causing this. Shakes are ok, soup is average, coffee bars are ok, choc bars average, lemon dessert is ok, choc dessert average...I'm hanging in there. -
