I immediately put cold Water in the pot, de-shell the eggs and then put the eggs back in the water for a few seconds to ensure all of the shell has come off.

I had my surgery just 3 weeks ago tomorrow. I did not feel anything during the operation. As soon as they gave me anesthesia, the next thing I remember is waking up in recovery an hour later. There was no immediate pain just soreness which is to be expected. Honestly, all I really felt like doing in the hospital after was sleeping but realized quickly that walking would help get the bloating down and pushed myself to do that. I generally have pain with gas but didn't have any just bloating. The only pain was minimal soreness from the surgery but everyone's story is different. You have to weigh that with the pain/feeling you have with your current health situation. Good luck.

I start my 2 wk pre op diet tomorrow
johelicou replied to abaker75's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It definitely seems to vary per surgeon but also per patient. I did have a liquid diet for 2 weeks pre-op (and 2 weeks post) but in the pre-op stage I could have a very limited amount of Protein and vegetables each day except for the day before surgery which was strictly Clear liquids. Much luck to you! -
I'm 3 weeks post op tomorrow. I've lost 25 lbs so far but the scale hasn't changed in a week. Not sure if that truly constitutes a "stall" yet? I'm on soft/pureed foods now and I feel like the scale stopped moving with the transition from liquids. I'm just focusing on Protein and staying fully hydrated and getting exercise in as much as I can to get things moving again. I'm worried that many people lose the bulk of their weight loss in the first few months and yet nothing has adjusted in a week. I'm sure the transition from 4 weeks liquid (2 weeks pre/2 weeks post) a.k.a. "starvation mode" to real, albeit pureed foods is the cause but it's definitely an emotional dagger.
