  1. Hi All! I'm gonna get right into it because I can't think of a "nice" way to put this. I'm about 4 weeks out and on my soft food diet. A few things haven't sat well with me (I'm guessing) because after I eat, I feel tightness in my chest and then I vomit; but when I do, it's mostly foam and what seems to be like mucus. Is this normal for post op patients? I usually feel much better after I do, I've just never vomited foam or mucus before. What's going on with me???

    Less than a week!

I'm so excited for everyone!! I wish you all the very best of luck and hope that everything goes well. Please keep in touch with your updates and victories! Both on and off the scale
  3. So excited! I'm less than a week out from my surgery and I'm really excited. Today's my last day at work since I'm going on a mini vacation before hand with my mom. Who else is having surgery next week? Let me know! We can be surgery buddies and keep in touch with each other!

    Weight lost during pre-op diet.

Yeah I'm noticing that I'm exhausted too. Especially after work. I've picked up a lot of extra hours since I'll be out till December 1st. Hoping to lose some more weight before surgery! Still have a week to go. Awesome! When was your surgery?

I'm nervous my doctor's scale will also read differently! I'm required to lose 10lbs and I'm hoping to get below 300 before surgery. Only 2lbs to go!! Good luck to you and your surgery! What day is it scheduled for? Lucky! The liquid diet has been a struggle for me. I didn't have classes beforehand though.

    Thank you, ladies!!
  8. I'm currently on day 6/14 of my pre-op liquid diet. Curious as to how much weight people lost on their liquid diet before surgery and how long did your surgeon require you to be on that diet? I'm currently down 13 lbs from day 1. It's pretty much one of the only things that keeps me strong throughout the day.

    Struggling with Liquid Diet

I'm hoping that my NUT says I can have veggies. It's the texture that's really driving me crazy. And the chewing sensation. If I could eat eggs all day I would. Best of luck to you!! When is your surgery? Funny cause my mom was more worried about her not doing well on the liquid diet and I thought it would be a piece of cake for me. It's the complete opposite.

Thanks so much Dub. I'm having strained Soup right now and it's doing the trick.

    Struggling with Liquid Diet

Good luck with everything this time around. My surgery is also the 27th. I hope they get back to me too. It's very difficult especially at night when I'm cooking dinner for the rest of my family.

    Struggling with Liquid Diet

It is but I'm not sure if I can have any veggies. I'm waiting on my nutritionist to email me back.

    Philadelphia?

I'm from NE Philly!! I'm having surgery on the 27th at chestnut hill
  14. Only on day three and surgery not until 10/27, I'm already feeling so sick of this liquid diet. I emailed my nutritionist to ask about having veggies (even non starchy ones would be better than what I have now) but I still haven't heard back from her. I'm allowed to have 4 oz portions of egg beaters or whites and those are sadly the highlight of each day. I'm miserable. Even if I could have some boiled cabbage I would be happy! Any one have any ideas on anything to help make this horrible two weeks of misery not be so bad?

    Last Supper

Thank you all ❤️ I'm really looking forward to the surgery and so nervous at the same time. My mom worries constantly because that's just who she is, so I have to be strong enough for the both of us.
