I know it sucks right now but I promise like everyone has said, it does get better!!! You will start feeling a little bit more normal everyday, just be patient and let your body heal! Good luck!!!
-
I did it too, not saying its ok or we should be doing that but I think it's a common thing. I wasn't able to get enough calories in with just liquids and was feeling extremely weak so I ate some soft things to help with that.

How long until you start feeling "normal" ?
lesley_vsg replied to AchieveGoals's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It took me about 4 weeks to feel "normal" again. In the second month after surgery I got a lot of energy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Good luck! You will probably have some pain and you will be tired. definitely walk as much as you can and get plenty of rest! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Crossing my legs! I remember doing it without even thinking until I looked down and was like omg! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I use the PatchMD multivitamin and B12. I recently had blood work done and everything came back normal so I guess they are working! I recommend them!

I remember being wheeled to the OR, got on the surgery table and was asleep in a matter of minutes! I woke up in recovery. I remember hearing the nurses talking and telling me surgery was over. It literally felt like I had just had the best nights sleep ever lol!

Being scared is totally normal! Wishing you the best of luck with your journey!

Is it normal for weight loss to slow down
lesley_vsg posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey guys, I am 2 months post op and have lost a total of 45 lbs. The first 30 lbs came off in one month and this past month I've lost the other 15. Is it normal for the weight loss to slow down like this? My diet and fluid intake is good, so I'm just curious! Thanks -
December 2015 sleevers progress check
lesley_vsg replied to Joymarie333's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 12/8 and have lost 40 lbs. The first 30 lbs came off so fast and then i stalled and have slowly lost 10 more. I'm guessing this is normal, I'm not sure! I am doing great with Water intake but not so much with Protein. I cannot drink the shakes, they make me sick. I'm trying to get most of my protein from food but its hard being that i can only eat a small amount. Glad to hear everyone is doing good! Keep up the good work!!!!! -

Any 12/8/15 Sleeves out there
lesley_vsg replied to mizzvickie72088's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also had my surgery on 12/8/15! Sounds like you are doing really well! Congrats! I am doing good I think lol, getting all my Fluid in but still having trouble with the Protein and Vitamins because they both make me sick. I'm trying some different things though. I can pretty much tolerate any food but only a tiny amount so I know I'm not getting an adequate amount of protein from food alone. Whenever people ask how I am doing I always answer the same way.. there are good days and bad days. Do you feel like that to sometimes? -
Advice on how to get all your water in
lesley_vsg replied to tink401's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! This may be a stupid question but what do you mean by "drink normally" again? I'm having issues with water, I try to sip all day but this water keeps me feeling so full and blah! How long before I can drink water normally again?! I'm two weeks post op and this is my biggest frustration. -
Did you say "what did I do" !
lesley_vsg replied to Scottyd1264's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 12/8. The first week I would wake up feeling great but by the end of the day I regretted my decision, I would lay in my bed and cry thinking I really messed up by getting this done. This week has been 100x better, pain is subsiding and I surprisingly have a lot of energy. I feel more and more like myself everyday. But I know with major life changes like this there will be good days and bad days so I'm trying to just roll with it. -
So much harder than I thought...
lesley_vsg replied to tera1982's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh no Tera, hang in there it's going to get better! I haven't had any issues with my stomach rejecting food but every time I take a vitamin or drink a protein shake my stomach gives it right back to me. Not quite sure what to do, I'm just drinking a ton of water!
