I ended up with an irritated stomach this week. The doc put me back on liquids only for five days and the hunger went away completely. I'm drinking a lot more now obviously. I was having a hard time drinking enough. My vote about hunger now is that I think I was actually thirsty. I think liquid shakes are a good idea now (I am not a fan but admit I feel better). I'm five weeks out.

Dr Ariel Ortiz. Check his YouTube videos.

I would ask how many surgeries he has done and complication rate for mid stomach stenosis. That sounds too small from what my surgeon said. I would ask what he does when he gets to the mid stomach to keep from taking the turn too tight.

Mine was 35 min. My surgeon oversewed the staple line as well. Mine was easy. No fatty liver, normal omentum. My fat is almost all hips thighs -
I hope you aren't depressed...memory loss is a symptom. I am worried about this down the line myself.

Vomiting, nausea, and cramps with queasiness (yes, I think there is a difference) will guide you!!

I had a terrible time with pre-op, and I only had to do two weeks. I find I can easily fast for two or three days after a big meal, so that is what I did. I know that sounds hard core, but it isn't. I found it easier to do that than to follow any particular diet, since fasting kills my appetite. I lost 7 pounds in 14 days. When I got down to the wire on Clear liquids, I did not cheat at all in the days before the surgery.

I was out in 24. I had hardly any pain and freaked them out by jumping off the gurney to walk around after surgery. A lady I was in with had a conversion from lap band to sleeve. She had to stay longer.

HW 312 (10 yrs ago) SW 250 9/17/15 CW 238 I'll talk about age--I'm 50. I think I'll lose weight slowly, but much faster than on my own.

This no-sleep situation is typical low-carb side effect. I've done low carb on-and-off (mostly on) for 10 years. Some say it raises cortisol. I can't sleep when I go hard-core low carb, sleeve or no-sleeve.

My surgeon used 32 French. 50 French is the size of a dime. Any smaller than 32 French and you risk complications such as stenosis of the mid stomach. My surgeon has a YouTube video explaining this. dr Ariel Ortiz look at the "Canadian" version that explains the procedure. The video says 33 French. He now uses 32 French.
