Hello,
My name is Kerri (my friends call me Kerbear). I am 38 years old today but on Tuesday, Oct 13 I will be 39. I have not yet had surgery and am planning on the lapband procedure. I have been overweight my whole life. When I was younger I was an athlete so even though I was bigger it was manageable with all the exercise I was doing daily. I was recruited to play volleyball and softball in college and in my freshman year I blew out my knee. I had to be off my feet for several weeks and that's when things started to spiral out of control. I use food as an emotional way to cope with life. I will not sit here and b*tch about my life but I will say it has been an uphill battle sometimes. I am hoping to use the lapband as a strong tool to help me end my emotional eating roller coaster and become fabulous by my fortieth birthday....
