Can you have too much protein?

My NUT advised me that the body can only absorb about 30 to 40 grams of Protein per meal. Anything over that threshold would simply be converted into glucose and burned. So in essence there's no reason to consume more than the threshold -

Hey guys just wanted to let everyone know that I have a surgery date. My date is on Dec 11th. My doctor is Francis Veninga in Carrollton. He uses the Da Vinci Robot for the procedure. I have never heard of it. Have any of you?

Not really sure of the typical next steps? I called the surgeon office to give them tthe approval number and they advised they received the approval letter as well and they will call me in a week. Does that sound normal? What should I expect as next steps? -
