  1. First weigh in since surgery!! 279.1!!
  2. Carbs. That is my#1 reason. I love carbs. And good food. I have been larger my entire life. Always been the chubby cheeked kid. Even when I hit puberty I was built more like a guy than a girl. Yeah I got breasts but never had a figure other than round or square. Even when I was dancing 5-6 hours a day in college and was extremely fit I was still chubby cheeked and masculine. It's going to be very interesting to see if I ever get any kind of figure.
  3. I bought some PJs around Christmas in the biggest size they had and that is my first goal. They are Wonder Woman with a cape!! They are a size 16. I have not been in a 16 since I was a freshman in Highschool.

    Home and resting.

I have had some issues with nausea all of the sudden. I'm hoping it's the milk. I will stick to broth and water for the rest of tonight and try another protein drink tomorrow.

    Nausea

Well that was not pleasant. I finished my premier protein earlier today. I had no problems with that. So I mixed up some peanutbutter cookie matrix I mixed it with milk to get some calcium in and one sip nauseated me then my sleeve threw a fit and started twitching and a few minutes later I threw up the couple of swallows I had. I'm hoping it was just the milk and not the mix. I had some previous problems with milk before I was sleeved but not like this.
  6. So I am trying to get in my protein drinks in. I have some small Chinese tea cups that are 4oz and that is what I'm drinking out of. My question is how do you mix up your drinks? Do you mix them up in batches? How long do they last? Do you keep them in the fridge?
  7. So today is my first full day home and I have never noticed how many food commercials are on TV. I have never been a real TV person. Usually I binge watch Netflix but the TV that is in the room where I am set up so I can be comfortable does not have Netflix so I have been watching regular TV. no wonder there is a obesity problem. I have seen one commercial for something remotely healthy everything else has been sugar coated white carbs.

    Interesting observation

Oh that made me laugh so hard! That was great.
  9. Ok so all pre op appointments went very well. Now we back at the guest house. I'm struggling a little tonight. Mostly because I am tired and my husband had a fabulous smelling calzone. I don't even like the toppings he had in it but it smelled Devine. Liquid diet for a week and now clear liquids for 2 days has me craving bread so bad. I know this is gonna be awesome it's going to be fantastic. I just want to be done already. I know this is not the last time I am going to struggle with this. And I know I am stronger than this. I really wish I had brought my anxiety meds so I could just zombie out. Who wants to movie marathon with me tonight. There is no way in Hades that I am gonna be sleeping tonight.
  10. Well we have checked in to the patient housing. My surgery is in "the city". We live about 3 hours from where my surgeon is and all my pre op appointments are tomorrow starting at 8:00 am. So we came down a day early. Surgery is Wednesday. Nerves are starting to hit. But so is the excitement!! This is gonna be fantastic.
  11. 288.1 thanks to the preop diet!!
  12. Thank you all for talking about this. I have always been extremely paranoid about my piriod because no mater what I do I end up leaking somewhere. I will try and relax.
  13. So I have not had a period in about 6 months. (Never been regular) For the last few years when I have my cycle they last around 10 days. Well surgery is in 5 days. My cycles are also never "light" I will just say it's disgusting. I am so afraid that I will still be flowing when it's time for surgery. Has anyone dealt with this before?
  14. I'm looking for some great apps to help me on my journey. I already have My fitness pal, Withings, Health and Track Water. I'm looking for one that ether does a better job of having it all in one or a very simple one that will help me track my measurements. I thought about just doing one that is on paper but I always loose paper. If I have an app I won't loose it. If it automatically does the calculations for me or has charts that would be even better. So anyone have some favorite apps they want to share?
  15. I have an 8 and a 5 year old. We have been completely open with them about what is going on. My 8 year old is very aware and the 5 year old is only worried about us being gone for a week. I am really hoping that they will pick up some of the changes we are making (less carbs)
  16. I use MFP And the Heath app. They are the two I really use on a regular basis. I got a H2o pal for my birthday and love that thing! It is going to help track my water perfectly. I really need something that I can track my measurements on that will do the math for me.

    anyone in Boise Idaho area?

Hey!! I am hoping to resurrect this thread I am having my surgery next Wednesday (jan20th) in Boise. I will be traveling from the other side of Burley so we will staying a couple nights before surgery. It's a little strange going so far from home to have surgery. Any surgery I have had before was near family or friends.

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

    Scared.....

I am the day after you! The big thing that I am doing is, making a list of all the things I want to get done before surgery. I am doing it the Notes APP on my phone, but you could carry around a little notebook or something. Every time I think of something that needs done I write it down, right then! I don't wait, because if I wait, I forget. Then I stress out about trying to remember what it was. I also took off the 3 days before we leave to make sure everything is ready. Plus I scheduled myself a hair appointment and a pedicure appointment. Just to get some relaxation in with all the stress.

    Pre op diet.

What was your diet like 2 weeks before surgery? My doc has no limitations until the day before. And I feel like I am eating everything in sight and want to eat my favorite foods "one more time".
  23. 297.0 actually surprised I went down. Surgery is a little more than a week away.
  24. 2 weeks.... I have 2 weeks to prepare.
  25. Am I too late? 299.4 starting weight 289.4 goal weight.
