You need to update your profile and select no updates. You won't get anymore emails from the website. I'm sorry about your loss. WLS has saved so many lives.

As an example. I'm starting to go my pre-op low carb, low fat, low taste diet.
I say to my mother... I'm doin yadda yadda. It's hard but I'm doing it.
Mom replies: Well what you should do is eat low carb, low fat, low taste.
I'm already doing that.
Well you've got to do it anyway. Try harder.
repeat this a dozen times or so, then progress to.
What are you doing on the computer?
Looking for a sale on wood chippers.
What do you mean by "low taste"? Just curious.

My band has flipped....it really messed me up...that is also why I refuse to let anyone cut out 85% of my stomach....no way
The bypass procedure is much more invasive than the sleeve. I don't understand why you would be afraid of the sleeve but fine with the bypass. Fortunately, both types of surgery have a very low complication rate.

I was told to get a min of 60 to 80 grams of Protein per day. I track to make sure I get them in but I don't really use the calorie calculation. I average around 700 calories a day. I'm three months post-op.

I'm not playing with you
Who are you talking to? And what are you talking about?

I didn't think that I had a hernia. I was sure that I didn't but the doctor insisted that most people at least have a small one. When they scoped my stomach, they were able to find a small one.

I haven't looked into that no!!! Thank you!
Have you looked into CareCredit?I appreciate you feeling that way, but have cut everything that we can cut. I'm not saying that in the next five years we couldn't save the $21,000 that we would need to save, but there are people out there willing to help and donate. We don't live outside of our means at all. But not everyone that is looking for help is looking for a "handout"
they won't cover under any circumstances. Even if medically necessary. Stupid insurance.>If you have a hiatial hernia, your insurance will probably cover that surgery. They did the hernia repair and sleeve at the same time for me. Only cost me around $6,000 which I paid for with care credit
My insurance does not pay for weight-loss surgery but they do pay for hernia repair. Because I had both procedures done at the same time, my weight-loss surgery costs me much less than usual.

I had my operation two days before my birthday this year. Definitely couldn't Celebrate but it was worth it.
Happy Birthday!

I had the same problem. I wasn't judging the people. It just physically made me feel sick to see that much food on a plate. I'm about 10 weeks post-op and it only bothers me a little bit now.

I live in Fort Worth. I went to Ultimate Bariatrics and used Dr Adam Smith for my gastric sleeve procedure. The team is really great. They will help you figure out which procedure is best for you. The web site is http://fortworthlapband.com/.
I read a lot of bad reviews about follow up for them, did you have any issues?
Really? I'm surprised because I have had zero problems. They send me a text the day before each appointment and they are always so nice. I'm about 2 1/2 months post op. Where did you see bad reviews for them?

I've heard that you will lose weight first where you last gained it. The weightloss just goes in reverse order. Don't know if it is entirely true but I've lost 60 lbs so far and it seems to be true in my case.

It took several days after I took off the patch for my vision to return to normal. Guess it has to work out of your system. Good luck!

There are many issues that could cause those problems. I would see a doctor soon if they don't clear up soon after you stop the carbonated drinks.

This looks odd. The person that answered in post #3 is not the OP of this thread.

You should be tested before you stop using your cpap machine.

The first few days are the worst. By day 3, it was much easier for me. Also, if you are tempted to eat/drink more than you are told, make sure it is healthy, such as an extra shake.

3500 calorie pound scientifically debunked

That's an interesting article.
I use an exel spreadsheet to track and predicate my weight-loss. According to my spreadsheet, I should lose another 83 lbs by June 6th if I consume 1,000 calories per day. When I used the Body Weight Planner, it says that I will lose that weight by Sep 1st consuming the same amount of calories. Guess I'll find out which is more accurate.
