  1. Hey @@all4him and @@aprilarnetta! That would be great to support one another and go through this together as our surgeries are so close. I plan on starting a preop diet next Tuesday. Have you guys already started or are you starting 2 weeks before surgery? Where are you guys having your surgery? I am so excited for my new beginning!!!
  2. Thanks so much @@butterfly23 for sharing your experience. It makes me feel so much better to know what I am feeling is what you felt prior to surgery. Seems like you are recovering very well and getting the swing of things! Congratulations
  3. That's great! Congratulations! What does your Preop diet look like? I have 2 shakes and then protein and veggies for supper and another shake at night if I want.
  4. Thanks so much for the encouraging words! Do you really wake up and are not hungry after surgery? I just dont know what that feels like and am so worried I won't be successful. Can you tell me what your experience has been like so far and anything that you read or did that was useful and might help me? How are you doing 6 months out? Congratulations to you as well!! Sarah
  5. I am so happy to hear you liked him. I am hoping he returns my call tomorrow. I already filled out the long form, so we would just need to discuss it. What made you decide to go with the sleeve rather than the gastric bypass? I hope you get approved. Are you nervous about it all? I want to try to get it done within the next few weeks if I decide to go with him. I am afraid I will lose my gumption if I wait.
  6. I am looking at that hospital as well but am thinking of DR. Kelly. I called him today and am waiting for him to return my call. What did you think of him when you spoke to him? From what I read he seems too good to be true and I haven't read anything negative about him. I am so scared of making a mistake and picking the wrong surgeon....
  7. Hi there, I read tour post and completely empathize with as I feel the same way. I am just shy of 300lbs, and am still active, but not like I used to be. I have two young kids and I avoid doing things because I am ashamed of my size. I feel so reclusive and isolated. I want to really start living again, which is why I have finally decided that barbaric surgery might be the answer. I am still looking at where to get it done. I am from Canada and the wait here is 2-5 years. I am looking at trying to find a private clinic in the US or in Mexico. Scared though of leaving my country for surgery... Congrats on making the decision! From everything I have read on these sites, everyone is happy they went through with the surgery. Hope all goes well with your surgery!
