For my Stress Test, it was the Surgeon who requested that. Because of how large I was, he wanted to make sure my heart could handle the surgery. He told me from the first initial meeting with him that I needed to do that, get a psych eval and get my primary Dr. to sign off on the surgery.

Thanks! I procrastinated with scheduling my EGD - which makes me kick my own ass. I eventually went for it 2 weeks before my anticipated surgery date. Had I gone sooner, my ulcers would have been treated sooner and surgery would have been done in September. As soon as they give you a script for your Endoscopy (EGD), schedule it. Get it over with.

That's good information dlappjr they haven't said any of that to me yet so hopefully that means that I wont need it. I have my medical clearance from my PCP already and my pych apps were scheduled the other day. It feels great to finally have things started.

I procrastinated and held off long enough.. I always told myself I am too young to "resort to SWL" and was in denial that this is what I needed. I have realized it is something that I need in order to better my life for myself and my children. As soon as I get my script I will get it scheduled right away!
