Hi there, I have all notifications turned off as I don't enjoy being flooded with email notifications every time someone posts something. All of a sudden I am getting swamped with them even though I checked my settings and they are still turned off..... ?? Please fix as soon as you can. Thanks Heather

oh ok thank you! I wonder if it switched over with the update because they were all originally turned off. Anyways, thanks! If I have any more issues, I'll let you know

Today marks my one year anniversary! One year ago I made the decision to save my life. I believe I may have done that It's been a quick and a much successful year - in my opinion HAHA Surgery date Sept 21 2015 Starting weight 273.4 Current weight 157.0 (I was down to 153.6 a couple of weeks ago but must've been eating too much salt lately; hence the slight increase LOL) Goal weight 150 - which I will succeed here shortly! Thanks for all of your support on this website! Now to get to goal and live happily ever after!! Heather

1 year 1 month 10 days And I hit my goal! Sept 21/15 - Oct 31/16 Lots of hard work. Many sacrifices. Lots of self talk. Much dedication and self motivation. But it was all worth it! The time flew by and I can't believe I am where I am just 13 short months after my Gastric Bypass surgery. I saved my own life and will thank myself everyday. I wasted too much of my precious life and now I'm gonna make up for it! Turning 41 in a couple days and I've never felt better, happier, healthier and of course lighter!!! Thanks for all that have traveled along this journey with me! Heather Sent from my SM-G920W8 using the BariatricPal App

email notifications and how to change your weight via mobile app
heather5565 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi everyone! It's me Heather! hahaha sorry I haven't been around much but life sure get's busy and time flies by! Question 1: How do I stop all of the notifications coming to my email? I have tried and tried and tried and no matter what, they come anyways. (when someone posts a new topic, when someone replies to a topic, etc etc) --- I just don't need (or want) a bazillion BP emails a day. Question 2: How do I manage my weight progress through my phone? Anytime I want to update stuff like that - I can't for the life of me figure it out with my mobile app! Is there is such a way? It's annoying because I only use my computer at work and it is very outdated (boss wont allow updates grrr hahaha) So thank you in advance if you can help this gal out! Heather -

I know this is from July 2015, but I still have to post.... Alex you're a true inspiration and a huge motivator! To think that 13 years and 4 months later, you're still kickin' a*s, still at goal, (or wherever) still happy and healthy, etc etc etc... it's just so amazing! I hope to be still at (or in my current state, under) my original goal 13 years from now! And forever! Thank you for starting this incredible support site and keep being your awesome slim healthy self! Heather Sent from my SM-G920W8 using the BariatricPal App -

I have been lately, yeah. I was really worried that I'd have loose skin (aka bat wings) so I've been concentrating on upper body lifting and I'm quite pleased with the results. I do have some damage, don't get me wrong, (especially when I bend over, you can see the loose wrinkly skin a bit) but overall I'm happy and proud of what I've accomplished Thank you for the nice compliment! I am going to continue on working on toning up more and maybe even lose a few more pounds I think the hard part now is maintaining! Eeekkkk! LOL Sent from my SM-G920W8 using the BariatricPal App Thanks for sharing, I'm scheduled for my sleeve on 11/17 (fingers crossed) and one of my worries was the excess skin many have spoken about apart from other things people have spoken about online, like the strain on relationships afterwords. Some of the surgeons on realself.com stated that excess skin was inevitable and I don't forsee being able to afford a body lift. I am 235 lbs and hopefully with hard work and exercise it won't be too bad. I think the pros of a potentially healthier life outweigh the negatives... Thanks again. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App Good luck to you!Everything will go great and smoothly and you'll have a quick recovery and your journey will go fantastic! Thanks everyone! I'm still in shock, really. I even weighed myself this morning and am now 2 pounds under my goal! I'm flabbergasted! I never thought in a million years that I'd weigh what I do, it's still so surreal! Yet motivating.... Sent from my SM-G920W8 using the BariatricPal App -

AWWWW! You edited it!! Good job! Give this girl a cookie. Or a carp. And get my weight down. Punkin, been there, done that. I'm 3.5 years out and maintaining like a champ. But thanks for the advice! Thank you all! the Celery comment made me laugh! I dislike celery... unless I use it as a spoon to dig out peanut butter, cheeze whiz or cream cheese! hence why there is no celery in my house.... that sh*t is bad for you. HAHA
